2. Product Overview

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
- Remove all protective films and packaging materials.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not use and contact customer support.
3.2 Filter Installation
The air purifier comes with the filter pre-installed, but it may be wrapped in plastic for protection during shipping. Ensure the plastic wrapping is removed before first use.
- Turn the air purifier upside down and twist the base cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
- Carefully remove the cylindrical filter from the unit.
- Remove any plastic packaging from the filter.
- Reinsert the filter into the unit, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Replace the base cover and twist clockwise to lock it securely.
3.3 Power Connection
- Place the air purifier on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow (at least 20 cm / 8 inches).
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).
3.4 Smart Home Integration (Matter Setup)
The Brivo 300s supports Matter for integration with various smart home ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Home Assistant. No separate app is strictly required for basic Matter functionality.
- Ensure your smart home hub (e.g., Apple HomePod, Google Nest Hub, Amazon Echo) is Matter-compatible and connected to your home network.
- Power on the air purifier.
- Open your preferred smart home app (e.g., Apple Home, Google Home).
- Follow the app's instructions to add a new Matter accessory. You will typically be prompted to scan a Matter QR code. This code is usually located on the device itself or in the quick start guide.
- Once scanned, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup and assign the air purifier to a room.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit. It features a display and several touch-sensitive buttons for various functions.

- Power Button: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
- Mode Button: Cycles through Auto Mode, Sleep Mode, and Eco Mode.
- Fan Speed Button: Adjusts fan speed (1, 2, 3) in manual mode.
- Timer Button: Sets the operating timer for 1, 4, or 8 hours.
- Lock Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate the child safety lock.
- Display ON/OFF Button: Toggles the display screen.
4.2 Operating Modes
- Auto Mode: The air purifier automatically adjusts the fan speed (1 to 3) based on real-time PM2.5 levels detected by its dust sensor. The indicator light above the fan speed button turns off in this mode.
- Sleep Mode: Designed for quiet operation. The panel lights dim to 10% brightness after three seconds, with only the Sleep indicator visible. The fan operates at its lowest speed. Pressing any button will temporarily illuminate the display.
- Eco Mode: Monitors air quality to conserve energy. The motor shuts off when PM2.5 levels drop below 35 and restarts when PM2.5 exceeds 50. Fan speed adjusts according to Auto Mode logic when active. The display remains on in Eco Mode.

4.3 Air Quality Indicator
The built-in LED air quality indicator changes color to reflect the current PM2.5 levels:
- Green: Good air quality (0-50 µg/m³)
- Yellow: Moderate air quality (50-150 µg/m³)
- Red: Poor air quality (>150 µg/m³)
4.4 Aromatherapy Function
To use the aromatherapy function:
- Locate the small drawer labeled 'PUSH' near the top of the unit.
- Press the drawer to open it and retrieve the essential oil pad.
- Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil onto the pad.
- Place the pad back into the drawer and close it. The air purifier will then disperse the scent throughout the room.

4.5 Smart Control and Voice Commands
Once integrated with your smart home ecosystem via Matter, you can control the air purifier using your smart home app or voice commands.
- App Control: Use your Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Home Assistant app to turn the purifier on/off, change modes, adjust fan speed, and set timers.
- Voice Control: Use voice assistants for hands-free operation. Examples include:
- "Hey Siri, turn on the air purifier."
- "Alexa, please turn on the air purifier."
- "Hey Google, set the air purifier to auto mode."

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air purifier.
5.1 Filter System
The Brivo 300s utilizes a 4-stage filtration system:
- Washable Pre-Filter: Captures larger particles like pet hair, dust, and lint. This filter is removable and washable.
- Coarse Filter: Traps medium-sized particles.
- HEPA H13 Filter: Removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust mites, and smoke particles.
- Activated Carbon Filter: Absorbs odors, harmful gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

5.2 Cleaning the Pre-Filter
The washable pre-filter should be cleaned regularly, typically once a month or when visibly dirty, to maintain efficiency and extend the life of the HEPA filter.
- Unplug the air purifier from the power outlet.
- Remove the base cover and the main filter assembly as described in Section 3.2.
- Carefully detach the pre-filter layer from the main filter.
- Rinse the pre-filter under running water until clean. Do not use harsh detergents.
- Allow the pre-filter to air dry completely before reattaching it to the main filter.
- Reinstall the filter assembly and base cover.
5.3 Replacing the Main Filter
The filter replacement icon on the display will flash when the main filter needs to be replaced. The lifespan of the filter depends on usage and air quality, but typically ranges from 6 to 8 months.
- Unplug the air purifier.
- Remove the base cover and the old filter assembly.
- Dispose of the old filter responsibly.
- Insert a new xCREAS Brivo 300s replacement filter (KJ300-B1 filter). Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Replace the base cover and twist clockwise to lock.
- Plug in the air purifier.
- To reset the filter replacement indicator, press and hold the Mode and Fan Speed buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The indicator light will turn off.
5.4 Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth as needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your xCREAS Brivo 300s air purifier, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
