2. Safety Information

5. Installation
Professional installation is recommended for safety and optimal performance. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding.
5.1 Mounting the Bracket
- Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws and washers. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached and can support the fan's weight.
- For sloped ceilings, ensure the mounting bracket is installed correctly to allow the fan to hang plumb.
5.2 Assembling the Fan
- Insert the downrod through the canopy and coupling.
- Route the electrical wires from the motor through the downrod.
- Attach the downrod to the motor housing, securing it with the pin and screws.
- Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket hook.
5.3 Wiring Connections
- Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household supply wires according to the wiring diagram in the full manual (typically black to black, white to white, and green/bare copper to ground). Use the provided wire nuts.
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
5.4 Attaching Blades and Light Kit
- Attach the fan blades to the motor housing using the blade screws. Ensure they are tightened securely.
- Connect the LED light kit wires to the fan's light wires.
- Secure the LED light kit to the bottom of the motor housing.

6. Operating Instructions
Your Parrot Uncle ceiling fan is operated via the included remote control.
6.1 Remote Control Functions

- Fan ON/OFF: Press the fan icon button to turn the fan on or off.
- Fan Speed: Use the 'up' and 'down' arrow buttons to cycle through 6 fan speeds.
- Light ON/OFF: Press the light bulb icon button to turn the LED light on or off.
- Light Dimming: Hold the light bulb icon button to adjust the brightness of the LED light (stepless dimming).
- Timer: Press 1H, 3H, 6H, or 8H to set the fan to automatically shut off after the selected duration.
6.2 Reversible Motor Function
The fan features a reversible motor for seasonal use. A switch on the fan's motor housing (or sometimes on the remote) controls the direction of blade rotation.
- Summer Mode (Downward Airflow): Set the switch to circulate air downwards, creating a cooling breeze.
