Installation & Operating Instructions
Safety Information
WARNING: SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure the electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation.
- All wiring must comply with the National Electrical Code (NASI/NFPA 70-1999) and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician.
- The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting 35 lb (15.9 kg). Use only UL-listed outlet boxes marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 35 lbs (15.9 kg) or less."
- The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1m) clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
- Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are in motion. Turn the fan off and wait for the blades to stop before reversing the blade direction.
- Do not place objects in the path of the blades.
- To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, exercise caution when working around or cleaning the fan.
- Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits not packed with the fan must be UL-listed and marked suitable for use with the model fan being installed. Switches must be UL General Use Switches. Refer to instructions packaged with light kits and switches for proper assembly.
- After making electrical connections, push spliced conductors upward into the outlet box. Spread wires apart, placing the grounded conductor and equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
- All setscrews must be checked and retightened where necessary before installation.
⚠️WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets (flanges) during assembly or after installation. Do not insert objects in the path of the blades.
⚠️WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of the fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.
⚠️WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
⚠️WARNING: To avoid possible electric shock, turn off electricity at the main fuse box before wiring. If you lack electrical knowledge, contact a licensed electrician.
⚠️WARNING: Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Optional light kits must be UL-listed and marked suitable for use with this fan.
⚠️WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount to an outlet box marked "Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs (15.9 kg) or less" and use the screws provided with the outlet box.

Remote Control Functions:
The remote control has the following buttons:
- ON/OFF: Turns the light and fan on/off separately.
- ALL OFF: Turns off both the light and the fan.
- Light Color Toggle: Changes the light color temperature.
- Night light: Activates a low-light mode.
- Brighten: Increases light intensity.
- White temperature: Adjusts white light color temperature.
- Dimming: Adjusts light brightness.
- Yellow temperature: Adjusts yellow light color temperature.
- Forward/reverse switching: Changes fan direction.
- Signal key: Used for pairing/calibration.
- Timing: Sets a sleep timer.
- Natural wind: Simulates a natural breeze.
- Numbered buttons (1-6): Control fan speed.
- FAN OFF: Turns off the fan while the light remains on.
Remote Control Operation:
- You can turn the lights and fans on/off separately using the respective ON/OFF buttons.
- To turn off the fan while the light is on, press the "FAN OFF" button. Use numbered buttons (1-6) to turn the fan back on. To turn off the light, press the "ON OFF" button for the light, or "ALL OFF" for both light and fan.
Installing Batteries:
Install the batteries (AAA 1.5V) into the remote control before use.
Remote Control Calibration:
If the lamp or fan does not respond, recalibrate the remote control:
- Turn off power to the fan at the wall switch or circuit breaker.
- Wait 5-10 minutes.
- Turn the power back on.
- Immediately press the signal button on the remote control.
- If the light flashes, the code has been calibrated successfully, and the remote can be used.

Troubleshooting Guide
1. Fan / Remote is not working
- Ensure the remote is within the 20-foot range of the receiver.
- To reset the remote control: 1) Turn off power to the fan. 2) Remove batteries from the remote. 3) Wait 10 seconds. 4) Replace batteries and turn power on.
- Check batteries to ensure they are good and correctly oriented.
- Verify that the frequency switches (DIP Switches) on the remote and receiver are set to the same frequency.
- Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.
- If using a Variable Speed Wall Switch, ensure it is specifically designed for ceiling fans.
- Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing according to the instructions.
- If the fan still does not work, please contact Customer Service.
2. The Fan is Noisy
- Ensure all motor housing screws are tightened.
- Make sure the screws attaching fan blades to the motor are tight.
- Check that wire nut connectors are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.
- Allow a 24-hour break-in period; most noises associated with a new fan may disappear during this time.
- If using a ceiling light kit, ensure the glassware is secured tightly.
- Ensure there is a small gap between the ceiling and the top of the canopy; the canopy should not touch the ceiling.
- Verify your ceiling box is secure and that rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket and outlet box.
3. The Fan Wobbles
- Verify all blades and blade bracket screws are secure, as most wobble is caused by loose parts.
- After the fan is properly installed, run it for 10 minutes to allow it to self-adjust.
- If wobble occurs after 10 minutes, verify blade level:
- Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one blade. Measure the distance from the center of the blade to this point.
- Rotate the fan to the next blade and repeat the measurement from the same ceiling point.
- Measurements for all blades should be within 1/8 inch (0.32cm).
- If deviations are less than 1/8 inch and the fan still wobbles, contact Customer Service to order a complimentary Blade Balancing Kit.
- If wobble persists after using the balancing kit, interchanging two adjacent blades can redistribute weight and improve operation.
- ⚠️WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend blade arms while installing, balancing, or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects between rotating fan blades.
4. Light is not working
- Check the bulb to ensure it is installed correctly.
- Replace a non-working bulb with a known good bulb.
- To reset the remote control: 1) Turn off power to the fan. 2) Remove batteries from the remote. 3) Wait 10 seconds. 4) Replace batteries and turn power on.
Care and Cleaning
- Periodic cleaning is the only maintenance required. Use a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the paint finish.
- Ensure power is turned off before cleaning.
- Do not use water when cleaning the fan; it could damage the motor or blades and create an electrical shock hazard.
- The motor has permanently lubricated ball bearings and does not require oil.
⚠️NOTE: MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF AT THE ELECTRICAL PANEL BOX BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY CLEANING OR REPAIRS.
