2. Safety Information

Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to your radio:

• Do not operate the radio in explosive atmospheres (e.g., flammable gases, dust particles, metallic powders).
• Do not disassemble or modify the radio. Repairs should only be performed by qualified technicians.
• Use only BAOFENG approved batteries and chargers. Using unapproved accessories may void your warranty and cause damage.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio.
2. Slide the battery upwards until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, press the battery release latch (if present) and slide the battery downwards.

3.2 Antenna Attachment

1. Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight.
2. Do not overtighten.

3.3 Charging the Battery

The UV-32 offers multiple charging methods:

• Desktop Charger: Place the radio (with battery installed) or the battery alone into the desktop charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts align. The indicator light will show charging status.
• USB-C Direct Charging: Connect a USB-C cable to the port on the radio and to a compatible power source (e.g., power bank, car adapter, computer, wall charger).

3.4 Initial Power On

Rotate the power/volume knob clockwise to turn on the radio. Adjust the knob to set the desired volume level.

4.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

The top-right knob controls both power and volume. Rotate clockwise to power on and increase volume; rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.

4.2 Channel Selection and Frequency Input

The UV-32 supports 1000 channels across 10 zones. Use the keypad to directly input frequencies or navigate through stored channels. The radio features a dual display, allowing monitoring of two frequencies simultaneously.

4.3 Dual GPS/BeiDou Tracking and Location Sharing

4.4 Bluetooth APP Programming
