Testing the Detector

To ensure the carbon monoxide detector is functioning correctly, you can perform a simple test:

  1. Light a piece of paper or a cigarette.
  2. Extinguish the flame, allowing it to produce thick smoke.
  3. Hold the detector close to the smoke for 5-10 seconds, allowing the smoke to enter the ventilation holes.
  4. The CO concentration on the screen should increase, and the detector will sound an audible alarm if the concentration exceeds the threshold.

Note: Do not test with car exhaust or in overly airy places, as low CO concentrations may not trigger the sensor.

Placement Guidelines

The HAKINAKU D6 is designed for portability and can be used in various indoor and outdoor environments. Consider placing it in areas where CO may accumulate or where you need to monitor air quality.
