3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel

  • PoE Ports (8x): Connect PoE IP cameras for power and data transmission.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Connection

Follow these steps to connect your NVR for the first time:

  1. Connect the NVR to a monitor using the HDMI or VGA cable.
  2. Connect the USB mouse to a USB port on the NVR.
  3. Connect the NVR to your router using the Ethernet cable.
  4. Connect the power adapter to the NVR's power input and plug it into a power outlet.
  5. Turn on the NVR using the power button (if available).

4.2 Hard Drive Installation

The ANNKE 12MP 8-Channel PoE NVR does not include a hard drive. A 3.5-inch hard drive (HDD) is required for recording. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on how to install the HDD. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a surveillance-grade HDD.

4.3 Camera Connection

Connect your ANNKE PoE IP cameras directly to the PoE ports on the NVR using Ethernet cables. These ports provide both power and data, simplifying installation. The NVR is compatible with ANNKE 12MP/8MP/4K/5MP/4MP/3MP IP cameras.

5. Operating

5.1 Live View

5.2 Recording

The NVR supports 24/7 continuous recording and advanced AI motion detection. You can configure customized detection areas to focus on critical events. The H.265+ video compression technology maximizes storage space and reduces bandwidth without compromising image quality, automatically adapting to H.265, H.264+, or H.264 as needed.

5.3 Remote Access

5.4 Password Reset

  • Cameras Not Displaying: Ensure cameras are properly connected to PoE ports and receiving power. Check network connectivity for IP cameras.
  • No Recording: Verify that a hard drive is installed and formatted correctly. Check recording schedules and motion detection settings.
