5.2 Placing the Silicone Pad

Place the heat-resistant silicone pad on the weighing platform. This pad protects the scale from heat and spills, and helps prevent items from slipping.

5.3 Powering On/Off

To turn on the scale, press the ZERO/POWER button. To turn off, press and hold the ZERO/POWER button for a few seconds until the display turns off. There is also a mechanical power switch on the back for complete power off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Mode Selection

Press the MODE button to cycle through the three intelligent brewing modes:

  1. Standard Weighing Mode: Displays weight and timer. Ideal for general kitchen use or manual brewing.
  2. Pour-Over Mode: Designed for pour-over coffee. Automatically starts the timer when water hits the grounds and displays real-time flow rate and brewing ratio. An audible beep indicates when the target ratio is reached.
  3. Espresso Mode: Optimized for espresso. Automatically starts the timer when the first drop of espresso hits the cup and displays flow rate.

6.2 Tare Function

To zero out the weight of a container or add ingredients, place the item on the scale and press the ZERO/POWER button. The display will reset to zero.

6.3 Using the Timer

In Standard Weighing Mode, press the TIMER button to start or stop the timer. Press and hold the TIMER button to reset it to zero.

In Pour-Over and Espresso Modes, the timer function is automated as described above.

6.4 Adjusting Brew Ratio (Pour-Over Mode)

In Pour-Over Mode, you can set your desired coffee-to-water ratio (e.g., 1:15). Press the BREW RATIO button to cycle through preset ratios or adjust them. The scale will then automatically calculate the target water weight based on the coffee weight and the selected ratio, providing an audible alert when the target is reached.

6.5 Silent Mode

To activate or deactivate Silent Mode (which mutes all beeps), press and hold the TIMER and ZERO/POWER buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.

7. Maintenance and Care

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the scale surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Ensure no liquid enters the internal components. The seamless design and IPX4 rating make cleaning easy, but avoid excessive water.

7.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, charge the scale regularly. Avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Store the scale in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Scale not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB-C cable and try again. Check the mechanical power switch on the back.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing it near vibrating appliances. Recalibrate by turning it off and on, or by performing a tare.
  • Timer stops prematurely: Note that the timer on this scale is designed to stop at 10 minutes. This is a design feature and not a malfunction.
  • Display not responding to touch: Ensure your fingers are clean and dry. If the issue persists, try restarting the scale.
  • No sound/beeps: Check if Silent Mode is activated. Press and hold the TIMER and ZERO/POWER buttons for 2 seconds to toggle Silent Mode.
