5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

5.1 Emptying the Tank

  • Always unplug the vacuum cleaner before emptying.
  • Release the locking blocks to detach the motor head from the tank.
  • Carefully lift the motor head and set it aside.
  • For dry debris, remove the dust bag and dispose of its contents. For liquids, carefully pour out the liquid from the tank.
  • Clean the inside of the tank with a damp cloth if necessary.
  • Reattach the motor head and secure the locking blocks.

5.2 Filter Maintenance

The cartridge filter is crucial for dry vacuuming performance and motor protection.

  • Cleaning: For dry debris, gently tap the cartridge filter to dislodge dust. You can also use a soft brush or compressed air to clean the pleats. Do not wash the cartridge filter unless specified by the manufacturer for your specific filter type.
  • Replacement: Replace the cartridge filter when it becomes heavily soiled or damaged, as this can reduce suction power and potentially damage the motor.
  • Wet Vacuuming: Always remove the cartridge filter before wet vacuuming to prevent damage and ensure proper operation.

5.3 Dust Bag Replacement

  • For dry vacuuming, replace the dust bag when it is full or when suction power noticeably decreases.
  • To replace, detach the motor head, remove the full dust bag, and insert a new one, ensuring its opening is correctly aligned with the hose inlet.
