Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your robot vacuum's replacement parts is essential for consistent cleaning performance.
- Main Brush: Inspect weekly for tangled hair or debris. Use the cleaning tool provided with your vacuum to remove any obstructions. Replace every 6-12 months, or sooner if visibly worn.
- Side Brushes: Check weekly for bent or damaged bristles. Clean any tangled hair. Replace every 3-6 months, or if bristles are significantly worn or missing.
- Filters: Tap out dust from the filter after each use. Do not wash filters unless specified by the vacuum manufacturer. Replace every 2-3 months to maintain suction power and air quality.
- Dust Bags: Replace the dust bag when the vacuum's indicator light signals it is full, or when you notice a decrease in suction power. Dispose of full bags properly.
- Mop Cloths: Wash mop cloths after each use. They can typically be hand-washed or machine-washed. Replace every 1-3 months, or when they show signs of wear or reduced cleaning effectiveness.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues after replacing parts, consider the following:
- Reduced Suction Power: Ensure the filter is correctly installed and not clogged. Check if the dust bag is full or improperly seated.
- Poor Cleaning Performance: Verify that the main brush and side brushes are free of tangles and installed correctly. Ensure mop cloths are clean and properly attached.
- Unusual Noises: Check all brushes for obstructions or improper installation. Ensure no debris is caught in the brush compartments.
- Parts Not Fitting: Double-check that you have purchased the correct replacement parts for the Redkey R10 model. Refer to the product specifications.
