Package Contents
- Two (2) ABBREE AR-805S Antennas
- Two (2) Rubber Washers (for gap adjustment)
Setup Instructions
- Identify Connector Type: Ensure your radio has an SMA-Female connector. The AR-805S antenna features an SMA-Male connector designed to screw into an SMA-Female port.
- Attach Antenna: Carefully screw the AR-805S antenna onto the antenna port of your ham radio. Turn clockwise until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
- Check for Gaps: If there is a slight gap between the base of the antenna and the radio's housing after tightening, use one of the provided rubber washers. Unscrew the antenna, place the rubber washer over the connector, and then re-attach the antenna. This helps ensure a secure fit and protects the connection.
- Verify Connection: Once attached, gently check that the antenna is firmly seated and does not wobble.

Operating Instructions
- Power On Radio: After securely attaching the antenna, power on your ham radio.
- Select Frequency: Tune your radio to the desired VHF (144MHz band) or UHF (430MHz band) frequency.
- Communication Range: The AR-805S is a mini stubby antenna, optimized for portability. While it offers stable communication, its range may be more limited compared to longer whip antennas. It is ideal for close-range communication, such as within a quarter-mile, or when a compact antenna is preferred for convenience.
- Optimal Performance: For best results, ensure a clear line of sight between communicating radios. Obstructions like buildings or dense foliage can affect signal quality and range.
