1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the isinwheel Z1 Electric Scooter. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, assembly, and maintenance of your scooter. Please read it thoroughly before your first ride and keep it for future reference.

The isinwheel Z1 Electric Scooter (Z1 Lite-20Miles model) is designed for adults and teens, featuring a powerful 500W brushless hub motor, a top speed of 22 MPH, and a range of up to 20 miles on a single charge. It includes 10-inch pneumatic tires for a smooth ride, a dual braking system for safety, and smart app connectivity for enhanced control.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The package typically includes:

3. Assembly

The isinwheel Z1 Electric Scooter comes mostly pre-assembled. The main assembly step involves attaching the handlebar to the main stem.

  1. Carefully remove the scooter and all components from the packaging.
  2. Lift the main stem of the scooter until it locks into place.
  3. Connect the handlebar to the top of the stem, ensuring all cables are properly aligned and connected.
  4. Secure the handlebar using the provided screws and hex key from the toolkit.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. The 420Wh high-capacity battery typically takes approximately 6 hours for a full charge.

  • Locate the charging port on the scooter.
  • Connect the charger to the port and then plug it into a standard power outlet.
  • The indicator light on the charger will change (e.g., from red to green) when charging is complete.

4.2 App Connection

Enhance your riding experience by connecting your isinwheel Z1 to the dedicated smart app (compatible with Android and iOS devices).

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the manual or on the scooter to download the app.
  2. Turn on your scooter and enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your scooter.

The app allows you to monitor battery level, riding distance, activate cruise control, and switch between different riding modes.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on the scooter, press and hold the power button on the display for approximately 3 seconds. To power off, repeat the same action.

5.2 Riding Modes

The Z1 Lite offers 3 riding modes to suit different preferences and conditions:

  • ECO Mode: For energy saving and longer range (approx. 9 MPH).
  • DRIVE Mode: Balanced speed and power (approx. 15 MPH).
  • SPORT Mode: Maximum speed and power (up to 22 MPH).

Switch between modes by double-pressing the power button or through the smart app.

5.3 Lights and Turn Signals

The scooter is equipped with a bright LED headlight, taillight, and reflective strips for enhanced visibility. It also features integrated turn signals for safe maneuvering.

  • Press the power button once to turn the headlight on/off.
  • Use the dedicated buttons on the handlebars to activate left or right turn signals.

The display shows current speed, battery level, and active mode. The headlight can be adjusted by pulling it up or down.

5.4 Braking System

The scooter features a dual braking system for reliable stopping power: a front drum brake and an EABS regenerative braking system. The rear brake also activates a taillight.

5.5 Folding Mechanism

The Z1 Lite is designed for quick and easy portability with its one-step folding mechanism.

  1. Locate the folding latch on the stem.
  2. Pull the latch to release the stem.
  3. Fold the stem downwards until it securely latches to the rear fender.

Unfolding is the reverse process: release the latch from the fender and raise the stem until it clicks into its upright position.

5.6 Riding Tips

The 10-inch pneumatic tires and shock absorbers provide a comfortable and stable ride. Maintain a balanced stance and keep both hands on the handlebars while riding. Always be aware of your surroundings and adhere to traffic laws.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Tire Pressure

Regularly check the tire pressure. For optimal performance and ride comfort, maintain a tire pressure of approximately 30 PSI for both pneumatic tires.

6.2 General Care

  • Keep the scooter clean by wiping it with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets.
  • Store the scooter in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tightened.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Scooter not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged.
