Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install the throttle and key electric door lock on your KUGOO KIRIN KuKirin A1 Electric Scooter.

1. Preparation: Ensure the scooter is powered off and the battery is disconnected for safety.
2. Remove Old Components: Carefully remove the existing throttle and ignition switch from your scooter, noting the wiring connections.
3. Mount the New Throttle: Slide the new throttle assembly onto the handlebar. Secure it firmly in place using the appropriate screws or clamps (not included, use existing hardware if compatible).

4. Connect Wiring: Identify the corresponding wires on your scooter's harness. Connect the throttle's wiring harness to the scooter's electrical system. The throttle unit features two distinct connectors, typically for throttle signal and power/ignition.

5. Secure Connections: Ensure all connections are tight and properly insulated. Use zip ties or electrical tape to secure loose wires and prevent snagging.
6. Test Functionality: Reconnect the scooter's battery. Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the "ON" position. Verify that the scooter powers on and the throttle responds correctly.

Operating Instructions

• Power On/Off: Insert the key into the ignition slot. Turn the key clockwise to the "ON" position to power on the scooter. Turn the key counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position to power off the scooter and remove the key.
• Throttle Control: Once the scooter is powered on, gently twist the throttle grip towards you to accelerate. Release the throttle to decelerate.
• Key Management: Always remove the key when the scooter is not in use to prevent unauthorized operation. Keep a spare key in a safe place.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the throttle and key lock assembly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure.
• Lubrication: The key lock mechanism may benefit from a small amount of graphite lubricant if it becomes stiff over time.
