Operating Instructions
Your Shop-Vac Wet/Dry Vacuum offers versatile cleaning capabilities:
1. Dry Vacuuming
- Ensure the cartridge filter is installed. A filter bag can be used for enhanced fine dust collection.
- Connect the desired nozzle (e.g., 10-inch Wet/Dry Nozzle, Gulper Nozzle, Crevice Tool) to the hose.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 110V outlet.
- Turn the vacuum ON using the power switch located on the top of the unit.
- For detailed cleaning, utilize the 6-piece micro cleaning nozzle kit. These attachments are effective for computer keyboards, stereos, car dashboards, and other tight spaces.
2. Wet Vacuuming
- Remove the cartridge filter and filter bag. Install the foam sleeve over the filter cage for wet pickup. Failure to do so will damage the motor.
- Connect the desired wet pickup nozzle (e.g., 10-inch Wet/Dry Nozzle) to the hose.
- Plug in and turn ON the vacuum.
- Vacuum liquids directly. The vacuum will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
3. Blower Function
- Locate the blower port on the vacuum unit.
- Remove the hose from the intake port and securely insert it into the blower port.
- Turn the vacuum ON. The unit will now function as a powerful blower, useful for clearing debris from driveways, workshops, or other areas.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum:
- Emptying the Tank:
- Always unplug the vacuum before emptying.
- Release the latches on the sides of the tank and lift the motor head off.
- Carefully empty the contents into a suitable waste receptacle.
- For wet messes, dispose of liquids appropriately.
- Filter Cleaning/Replacement:
- Cartridge Filter: For dry use, tap off loose dirt or rinse with water. Allow to air dry completely before reinstallation. Replace when damaged or heavily soiled.
- Foam Sleeve: For wet use, rinse with water and allow to air dry.
- Filter Bag: Replace when full or when suction performance decreases.
- Hose and Accessory Cleaning: Clean the hose and accessories with mild soap and water as needed. Ensure they are dry before storing.
- Storage: Store the vacuum and all accessories in a clean, dry place. The wall-mount design allows for convenient and uncluttered storage.
Troubleshooting
If your Shop-Vac Wet/Dry Vacuum is not performing as expected, consult the following common issues and solutions:
- No Power:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify that the power switch is in the "ON" position.
- Check your circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Reduced Suction:
- Ensure the hose and all attachments are securely connected and free of blockages.
- Check if the tank is full and needs emptying.
- Inspect the filter (cartridge or foam sleeve) for clogs or excessive dirt. Clean or replace as necessary.
- For wet pickup, ensure the foam sleeve is correctly installed and not saturated.
- Motor Shuts Off During Wet Pickup:
- This is a normal safety feature. The vacuum automatically shuts off when the liquid level in the tank reaches its maximum capacity. Empty the tank and resume operation.
