Maintenance
Cleaning the Camera Body
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents. Ensure all port covers are closed when not in use to prevent dust and moisture ingress.
Sensor Cleaning
If dust or smudges appear on images, the sensor may need cleaning. Use a blower brush to gently remove loose dust. For more persistent issues, consult a professional camera service center. Avoid touching the sensor directly.

Battery Care
Always use genuine Sony batteries. Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Fully charge batteries before extended use.
Troubleshooting
Camera Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
- Check if the battery contacts are clean.
- Try using a different, fully charged battery if available.
Image Quality Issues
- Blurry Images: Check focus settings (autofocus/manual focus). Ensure image stabilization is active if shooting handheld. Verify shutter speed is appropriate for the scene.
- Noise/Grain: Adjust ISO sensitivity. High ISO settings can introduce noise, especially in low light.
- Dust Spots: Inspect the lens and sensor for dust. Refer to the "Sensor Cleaning" section under Maintenance.
Memory Card Errors
- Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and fully.
- Try formatting the memory card in the camera (note: this will erase all data).
- Use a different memory card to rule out card malfunction.
