Front Panel Controls:

• MODE Button: Switches between CD, USB, Bluetooth, Radio, and AUX modes.

Setup

Powering the Unit

The boombox can be powered by AC electricity or batteries.

AC Power:

1. Ensure the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch is in the "OFF/TAPE" position.
2. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC-IN jack on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (120V~60Hz).

Battery Power:

For portable use, the unit can operate on 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included).

1. Ensure the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch is in the "OFF/TAPE" position.
2. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
3. Insert 6 'C' size batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: For best performance and longer battery life, use alkaline batteries. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.

Operating Instructions

CD Player Operation

1. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "CD/USB/BT".
2. Press the CD LID OPEN button to open the CD compartment.
3. Place a CD (CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3/WMA disc) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD compartment lid firmly. The display will show "--" then the total number of tracks.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
6. Use the PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
7. Press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes (Repeat 1, Repeat All, Random).
8. Press the PROGRAM button to program a custom playback order.
9. Press the STOP button to stop playback.

Cassette Player & Recorder Operation

Playing a Cassette:

1. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "OFF/TAPE".
2. Open the Cassette Door and insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing up.
3. Close the Cassette Door.
4. Press the PLAY button on the cassette controls to start playback.
5. Use FAST FORWARD or REWIND buttons to quickly move through the tape.
6. Press the PAUSE button to temporarily stop playback. Press again to resume.
7. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop playback and eject the tape.

Recording to Cassette:

You can record from CD, USB, Bluetooth, Radio, or AUX sources to a cassette tape.

1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the cassette compartment.
2. Select the desired source (CD, USB, Bluetooth, Radio, or AUX) using the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch and MODE button.
3. Start playback on the source (e.g., play a CD, start Bluetooth streaming).
4. Press the RECORD button on the cassette controls. The PLAY button will also engage.
5. To stop recording, press the STOP/EJECT button on the cassette controls.

AM/FM Radio Operation

1. Extend the telescopic antenna for better FM reception. For AM, rotate the unit for best reception.
2. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "AM" or "FM".
3. Rotate the TUNING knob to find your desired radio station. The frequency will be shown on the LCD display.
4. To auto-scan and save stations, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button in radio mode. The unit will scan and store available stations.
5. Use the PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to navigate through saved preset stations.

Bluetooth Wireless Streaming

1. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "CD/USB/BT".
2. Press the MODE button repeatedly until "bt" appears on the LCD display. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing "bt".
3. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "MEGATEK CBR510" from the list of devices. Once paired, "bt" will stop flashing and remain solid.
5. Start playing music on your connected device. Audio will stream through the boombox.
6. Use the boombox's PLAY/PAUSE and PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to control playback, or control directly from your device.

Note: This unit does not have a Bluetooth transmitter function; it can only receive audio via Bluetooth.

USB Music Playback

1. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "CD/USB/BT".
2. Insert a USB flash drive (up to 512 GB, FAT32 format) containing MP3 or WMA audio files into the USB port.
3. Press the MODE button repeatedly until "USB" appears on the LCD display. The unit will automatically start playing the first track.
4. Use the PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.

AUX Input

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the boombox.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
3. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to "CD/USB/BT".
4. Press the MODE button repeatedly until "AUX" appears on the LCD display.
5. Start playing audio on your external device. The sound will be played through the boombox speakers.
6. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob on the boombox and/or your external device.

Headphone Jack

For private listening, connect a pair of 3.5mm stereo headphones (not included) to the HEADPHONE jack on the side of the unit. The speakers will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
