Battery Installation
The Inkerma 2-in-1 Laser Tape Measure requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the side of the device.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
The device is powered by easily replaceable AAA batteries, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Operating Instructions
Using the Tape Measure
- Pull the tape blade out from the device. The self-locking mechanism will hold the tape in place at any desired length.
- To retract the tape, press the green retract button located on the top of the device.
The self-locking tape measure allows for precise, single-handed operation. The tape features dual units (Feet/Meters).
Using the Laser Measure
The laser measure can measure distances up to 130ft (40m).
- Press the "ON/OFF/MEAS" button (green button with laser icon) to turn on the device and activate the laser. The backlit LCD screen will illuminate.
- Point the laser beam at the target surface.
- Press the "ON/OFF/MEAS" button again to take a measurement. The distance will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- To switch measurement units (M/In/Ft/Ft+In), press the "U" button.
Important Safety Note: This device uses a Class II laser with less than 1mW power output. Avoid direct eye exposure to the laser beam.

Automatic Shut-off
To conserve battery life, the laser automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity. The entire device powers down after 120 seconds of inactivity.
Maintenance

- Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
