1. Safety Instructions

3. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all components are present and the unit is correctly assembled.

Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.

Assembly:

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your plant grinder.

Starting the Machine:

  1. Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet (230V).
  2. Ensure the collection bin is securely in place.
  3. Press the green 'ON' button. The machine features a soft start function for a smooth power-up.

Feeding Material:

  1. Only feed suitable garden waste such as branches, shrubs, and plant material. Do not feed metal, stones, plastic, or other hard objects.
  2. The maximum branch diameter is 42 mm. Do not attempt to shred larger branches.
  3. Feed material gradually into the hopper. The machine has an automatic feed mechanism.
  4. Use the provided pusher to guide material into the shredder, especially for shorter pieces, to keep hands away from the cutting mechanism.

Stopping the Machine:

  • To stop the machine, press the red 'OFF' button.
  • In case of a clog or overload, the machine may stop automatically. Refer to the troubleshooting section.
  • Always unplug the machine from the power supply before performing any maintenance or clearing clogs.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Scheppach GS70.

Cleaning:

  • After each use, unplug the machine and allow it to cool.
