Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the Scheppach GS70 Electric Plant Grinder. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
General Safety
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- Personal Safety: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Machine Specific Safety: Ensure the collection bin is correctly installed and locked before operation. The machine features a safety interlock that prevents operation if the bin is not secured. Do not feed foreign objects like metal, stones, or plastic into the shredder.
