4. Setup

The AirOrig Portable Air Conditioner is designed for easy installation with the included window kit, suitable for both sliding (gliding) and single/double hung windows.

4.1 Window Kit Installation

Follow these steps to install the window kit:

  1. Prepare Window Boards: Put the screws into the holes in the plates.
  2. Install Washer and Screw: Install the washer and screw, but do not tighten.
  3. Secure Additional Plates: Place an additional inner plate into the outer plate and secure the screws.
  4. Adjust and Fix: After adjusting the length, fix the window plates to your window and close them to secure.
  5. Connect Hose to AC Unit: Connect the hose to the AC unit's adapters.
  6. Align and Lock Connector: Align the connector with the opening on the inside of the window bracket and push it in until it locks into place.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The unit features a washable air filter. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
  3. Wash the filter under running water (warm, soapy water if heavily soiled).
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

6.2 Drainage

The AirOrig Portable Air Conditioner features a self-evaporative system that automatically removes most of the moisture, eliminating the need for frequent manual draining. In extremely humid conditions, or if the unit indicates a full water tank, you may need to manually drain the unit using the provided drainage pipe.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or container under the drain outlet at the back of the unit.
  3. Remove the drain plug and allow water to flow out.
  4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
