3. Setup and First Use
Unpacking:
- Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
- Check if all parts are present and undamaged.
Initial Cleaning:
- Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
- Clean the basket and any removable accessories with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
Placement:
- Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
First Use (Burn-in):
- Insert the clean basket into the appliance.
- Plug the appliance into a grounded wall socket.
- Set the temperature to 200°C and the timer to 10 minutes.
- A slight odor or smoke may be emitted during the first use; this is normal and will dissipate.
- After the cycle, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
4. Operating Instructions
Basic Operation:
- Place the appliance on a stable surface and plug it in.
- Carefully pull the basket out of the air fryer.
- Place the food items into the basket. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
- Slide the basket back into the air fryer until it clicks into place.
- Press the power button to turn on the display.
- Select a preset program or manually set the temperature and time.
- Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.

Using Preset Programs:
The FR 2462 features 12 automatic programs. Simply touch the icon corresponding to your desired food type (e.g., fries, chicken, fish). The appliance will automatically set the optimal temperature and time. You can adjust these settings manually after selecting a preset if needed.
Manual Temperature and Time Setting:
- After turning on the display, use the temperature +/- buttons to adjust the cooking temperature (range typically 80°C to 200°C).
- Use the time +/- buttons to adjust the cooking time (range typically 1 to 60 minutes).
Memory Function:
The appliance includes 2 memory slots (M1, M2) to save your personalized settings. To save a setting:
- Set your desired temperature and time.
- Press and hold the M1 or M2 button until the display confirms the setting is saved.
To recall a saved setting, simply press the M1 or M2 button.
Shake Reminder:
For certain foods, the air fryer will emit a 'shake' reminder during the cooking cycle to prompt you to shake the basket for even cooking. Pull out the basket, shake the contents, and reinsert it to resume cooking.
Keep Warm Function:
After the cooking cycle is complete, you can activate the 'keep warm' function to maintain the food's temperature until serving.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air fryer.
Before Cleaning:
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
Cleaning the Basket and Accessories:
- The ceramic-coated basket and any removable accessories are dishwasher-safe.
- Alternatively, wash them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
- For stubborn food residues, soak the basket in hot water with some dish soap for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
Cleaning the Interior:
- Wipe the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Clean the heating element with a soft brush to remove any food residues. Do not use metal brushes or abrasive materials.
Cleaning the Exterior:
- Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a soft, damp cloth.
