4. Controls and Functions

The speaker features an intuitive control panel located on the top surface. Refer to the image below for button identification.

Button Functions:

  • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Mode Button (M): Short press to switch between Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, and TF card modes.
  • Play/Pause Button: Short press to play or pause audio. In FM mode, short press to auto-scan and save stations.
  • Volume Down / Previous Track Button (-): Short press for previous track. Long press to decrease volume.
  • Volume Up / Next Track Button (+): Short press for next track. Long press to increase volume.

5. Getting Started

5.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided power cable to the DC5V charging port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off or change color once fully charged.
  4. A full charge typically takes approximately 1 hour.

5.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns on and you hear an audible prompt.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off and you hear an audible prompt.

6. Connectivity Modes

The XB-U33 speaker offers multiple ways to play your audio. The various ports are located on the back of the device.

6.1 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light and an audible prompt.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "XB-U33" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED light will stop flashing, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

6.2 FM Radio Mode

  1. Power on the speaker.
  2. Press the 'M' (Mode) button repeatedly until you enter FM Radio mode.
  3. Extend the antenna for better reception.
  4. Short press the Play/Pause button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  5. Use the Previous/Next track buttons to navigate between saved stations.

6.3 USB/TF Card Mode

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or a TF (MicroSD) card with MP3 audio files into the respective port.
  2. The speaker will automatically detect the storage device and switch to USB or TF card mode, beginning playback. If it does not switch automatically, press the 'M' (Mode) button to select the correct mode.
  3. Use the Play/Pause and Previous/Next track buttons to control playback.

6.4 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

To pair two XB-U33 speakers for a stereo sound experience:

  1. Ensure both XB-U33 speakers are powered off.
  2. Power on both speakers simultaneously. They will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button for a few seconds until you hear a pairing tone.
  4. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, the primary speaker's LED will flash, and the secondary speaker's LED will be solid.
  5. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 6.1.
  6. Audio will now play in stereo through both speakers.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Speaker does not power on:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the provided cable.
    • Press and hold the Power button for at least 3-5 seconds.
  • No sound:
    • Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device.
    • Ensure the speaker is in the correct mode (Bluetooth, FM, USB, TF).
    • If using Bluetooth, ensure the speaker is properly paired with your device.
  • Bluetooth connection unstable or not pairing:
    • Ensure the speaker is within 10 meters of your device.
    • Turn off Bluetooth on your device and then turn it back on.
    • Forget the speaker from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
    • Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering.
  • FM radio reception is poor:
    • Extend the antenna fully.
    • Try moving the speaker to a different location to improve signal.
    • Perform an auto-scan for stations again.

9. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the speaker to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the speaker to strong impacts.
  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the speaker yourself. This will void the warranty.
  • Keep the speaker away from water and liquids. While it has some water resistance, it is not waterproof.
  • Use only the provided charging cable.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
