Setup
1. Setting the Time and Date
- Pull the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to position 2 for setting the date, or position 3 for setting the time. Refer to Figure 2 for crown positions.
- Set the Date (Position 2): If your watch has a date function, rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
- Set the Time (Position 3): Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands. Advance the hands past 12 o'clock to determine if it is AM or PM when setting the date.
- Push the Crown Back: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 1 (normal operating position) to start the watch.

2. Adjusting the Bracelet
The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links to achieve a comfortable fit. This procedure typically requires specialized tools and is best performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to prevent damage to the bracelet or clasp.

Operating Instructions
Quartz Movement
Your TIMEX watch is equipped with a precise quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping. The watch operates on a battery and does not require manual winding.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This rating means the watch is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as showering. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or prolonged water activities. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch finish.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a button cell battery. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take your watch to an authorized TIMEX service center or a professional watchmaker. Attempting to replace the battery yourself may void the warranty and could damage the watch's internal components or compromise its water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running:
- Ensure the crown is fully pushed in to position 1.
- The battery may need replacement. Refer to the "Battery Replacement" section.
- Incorrect Time/Date:
- Refer to the "Setting the Time and Date" section to reset.
- If the issue persists after setting, the watch may require servicing.
- Water Inside the Watch:
- Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
