4. Setup
4.1 Installation Requirements
Before installation, please ensure your door meets the following specifications:

- Door Hole Diameter: 2⅛" or 2⅜" (54mm or 60mm)
- Door Thickness: 1⅜" or 2⅛" (35mm or 54mm)
- Door Edge Hole Diameter: 1" (25mm)
- Backset: 2¾" or 2⅜" (60mm or 70mm)
- Compatibility: Compatible with Single Cylinder locks. Not compatible with Mortise Locks.
4.2 Battery Installation & Charging
The lock uses a removable and rechargeable lithium battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before initial use.
- Locate the battery compartment on the interior knob.
- Insert the provided rechargeable battery.
- To charge, remove the battery and connect it to a Type-C USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
- The lock also supports a CR123A battery as backup (not included).

5.1 Unlocking Methods
The KD03 PRO offers four convenient ways to unlock your door:

- Fingerprint Recognition: Place your registered finger on the sensor for instant unlock. The lock supports up to 100 fingerprints.
- Customized Passwords: Enter your personalized password on the keypad. Up to 100 passwords can be stored.
- App Control: Use the GHome Smart app via Bluetooth (within range) to lock or unlock the door. A separate gateway is required for Wi-Fi control.
- Mechanical Keys: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical keys to unlock the door.
5.2 Lock Modes
The lock features three distinct modes to suit your needs:

- Standard Mode: The door automatically locks within 5 seconds of unlocking for added security.
- Passage Mode: The lock remains unlocked for continuous access, ideal for high-traffic areas or when you don't need constant security.
- Privacy Mode: Only authorized users (e.g., administrators) can unlock the door, providing enhanced privacy and security.
6. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your GHome Smart Fingerprint Door Lock, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or electronic components.
- Battery Care: Recharge the battery promptly when the low battery alert is triggered. Avoid completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.
- Fingerprint Sensor: Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and free of dirt or moisture to ensure accurate recognition.
- Mechanical Parts: Periodically check that all screws are tight and the knob operates smoothly. Do not lubricate the lock cylinder unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer.
7. Troubleshooting

- Lock not responding: Check the battery level. If low, recharge or replace the battery. Ensure the battery is properly inserted.
