Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

The V1Pro-C uses a VB30 lithium battery.

  1. Insert the VB30 battery into the battery compartment of the flash unit. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
  2. To charge the battery, you can use the provided USB-C charging cable or the dedicated VC26 charger. Connect the cable to the flash unit or place the battery in the VC26 charger, then connect to a power source.

2. Mounting the Flash

  1. Slide the V1Pro-C's hot shoe onto your Canon camera's hot shoe mount.
  2. Secure the flash by rotating the locking mechanism until it is firmly attached.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the flash on or off.

2. TTL and Manual Mode Switching

The V1Pro-C features a dedicated button for quick switching between TTL (Through-The-Lens) and Manual (M) modes.

  • Press the TTL/M button on the flash body to toggle between these exposure control types.
  • In TTL mode, the flash automatically adjusts output for correct exposure.
  • In Manual mode, you can set the flash power output manually.

3. Using the Detachable SU-1 External Flash

The innovative SU-1 external flash can be attached to the V1Pro-C to provide additional fill light.

  1. To attach, align the SU-1 with the designated port on the V1Pro-C and slide it into place until it locks.
  2. The SU-1 can function as a bounce flash or a fill light, enhancing lighting versatility.
  3. To detach, press the release button (if present) and slide the SU-1 off.

4. 2.4G Wireless X System

The V1Pro-C supports 2.4G wireless transmission and reception, allowing it to be integrated into a multi-flash setup.

  • Set the V1Pro-C as a master unit to control other Godox flashes.
  • Set the V1Pro-C as a slave unit to be triggered by a Godox X-system transmitter.

5. High-Speed Sync (HSS)

The V1Pro-C supports HSS up to 1/8000s, allowing you to synchronize the flash with fast shutter speeds, ideal for overpowering ambient light or using wide apertures in bright conditions.

6. Modeling Light

The flash includes a 10-level adjustable LED modeling light to help visualize the lighting effect before taking a shot.

Maintenance

  • Keep the flash unit dry. Do not handle with wet hands.
  • Clean the flash head and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Store the flash in its protective bag when not in use to prevent dust and scratches.
  • Remove the battery if the flash will not be used for an extended period.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

Flash not firing:
  • Check if the battery is charged and correctly inserted.
  • Ensure the flash is securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe.
  • Verify camera and flash settings (e.g., flash mode, wireless settings).
  • Check if the flash is in sleep mode; press any button to wake it up.
Inconsistent exposure:
  • Ensure TTL mode is selected for automatic exposure, or adjust manual power settings.
  • Check for obstructions between the flash and subject.
  • Verify the camera's ISO, aperture, and shutter speed settings are appropriate.
Wireless connection issues:
  • Confirm that both the V1Pro-C and the triggering unit are set to the same channel and group.
  • Ensure there are no strong interfering signals in the environment.
  • Check the distance between units; operate within the specified wireless range.
