1. Safety Precautions

To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage, please read this manual carefully before use and adhere to all instructions. Keep this manual for future reference.

1.1. General Safety Guidelines

• Always operate the drone in strict accordance with local regulations.
• Ensure the drone is used in open airspace, away from people, animals, buildings, and other obstacles.
• Avoid flying in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, rain, or snow.
• Do not operate the drone if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

1.2. Battery and Charging Safety

• Use only the original charging cable provided with the drone.
• Do not overcharge the batteries. Unplug the charger once the indicator light turns green.
• Keep batteries and charging equipment away from fire or flammable materials.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place.

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Drone Assembly

1. Unfold the Drone: Gently unfold the drone arms until they lock into place.
2. Attach Propeller Guards: Securely attach the protective guards to each propeller arm.

3.2. Controller Setup

1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment.

3.3. App Installation

1. Download the App: Scan the QR code provided in the printed instruction manual to download the 'HFUN' application for your smartphone (available for iOS and Android).

3.4. Pairing and Connection

1. Power On Drone: Place the drone on a level surface and press the power button. The LED lights on the drone will begin flashing.
2. Power On Controller: Press the power button on the remote control.
3. Pairing: Push the left joystick on the controller to its highest point, then push it back to the lowest point. You will hear two beeps, and the LED lights on both the drone and controller will stop flashing, indicating a successful connection.
4. Connect to Smartphone (Wi-Fi): Turn on your smartphone's Wi-Fi, search for the network named 'JJRC' (or similar, as indicated in the app/manual), and connect to it. The mobile phone will automatically connect.
5. Place Phone in Controller: Secure your smartphone in the holder on the remote control. You can now control the drone via the controller and view the flight through the mobile phone app.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Flight Controls

• One-Key Ascend: After connection, press the one-key ascend button. The drone will automatically fly to a height of approximately 1.5 meters.
• Left Joystick (Altitude & Yaw):
  • Push up: Drone flies upward.
  • Push down: Drone flies downward.
  • Push left: Drone turns left (yaw).
  • Push right: Drone turns right (yaw).
• Right Joystick (Forward/Backward & Sideways Flight):
  • Push up: Drone flies forward.
  • Push down: Drone flies backward.
  • Push left: Drone flies sideways to the left.
  • Push right: Drone flies sideways to the right.
• Hover: Release the joysticks, and the drone will automatically hover in place.
• Flip & Rolls (360°): When the drone is more than 3 meters high, click the "360" button. Then, push the right joystick in the desired direction, and the drone will perform a 360-degree roll.
• One-Key Landing: Press the one-key landing button to initiate an automatic descent and landing.
• One-Key Reset: If the drone cannot fly straight or drifts to one side, place the aircraft on the ground, press the reset button, and then restart the flight.

5. Advanced Features (App Control)

The CHUBORY F89 drone offers several advanced features accessible through the companion mobile application:

• Gesture Photo/Video: Position yourself about 2 meters in front of the aircraft. Hold a specific hand gesture (e.g., 'V' for photo, 'box' for recording, 'palm' for recording) for three seconds, and the drone will automatically capture photos or videos.
• Follow Me Mode: Switch to 'Master Mode' in the app. Select the target person (indicated by a blue box) by tapping on them. Once the person is highlighted in a red box, the drone will automatically follow them.
• Trajectory Flight: In the app, draw a desired flight path (trajectory) on the screen. The drone will then fly automatically according to this pre-set trajectory.
• MV Mode: Click the 'MV' option in the app to access various features including filters, scenes, music, and one-key sharing functions for your captured media.
• Precise Positioning: The drone utilizes an optical flow sensor to precisely locate itself and hover at a certain height, providing stable flight and freeing your hands.
• Speed Adjustment: The app allows for adjustment of high and low speeds, making flight more flexible and adaptable to various environments.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone body and camera lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Propeller Inspection: Regularly check the propellers for any signs of damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts and screwdriver.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use. Do not leave batteries fully discharged for extended periods. Charge them periodically if storing for a long time.
• Storage: When not in use, store the drone and its accessories in the provided carrying case to protect them from dust and physical damage.
