This appliance is designed for both built-in and freestanding installation. Ensure the chosen location has a stable, level surface capable of supporting the unit when fully loaded. Allow adequate space for air circulation around the unit, especially at the front vent.

Leveling

Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the appliance to ensure it is perfectly level. An unlevel unit can affect cooling performance and door alignment.

Electrical Connection

Connect the appliance to a dedicated, properly grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Refer to the specifications section for electrical requirements.

Initial Operation

After placing the unit and connecting power, allow the appliance to stand for at least 24 hours before turning it on. This allows the refrigerant to settle, preventing potential damage to the cooling system.

Allow several hours for the appliance to reach the set temperature after initial setup or temperature adjustments.

Auto Defrost Function

The appliance features an automatic defrost system. During operation, frost may accumulate on the evaporator. This frost will periodically melt and drain into a drip tray at the rear of the unit, where it evaporates. This process is normal and helps maintain consistent cooling.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Interior

Unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wash the interior surfaces with a solution of warm water and baking soda (2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of water). Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Cleaning the Exterior

Clean the exterior with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner. Regularly clean the door seals to ensure a tight seal.

Power Outage

Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your appliance if you minimize the number of times the door is opened. For longer power outages, consider placing dry ice in the unit.

Vacation and Storage

For long vacations or periods of non-use, unplug the unit, empty its contents, clean it thoroughly, and leave the doors slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
