Please read these instructions thoroughly before installation and retain them for future reference.
Safety Precautions
- Professional Installation Recommended: This product is intended for professional water feature projects. Installation requires advanced electrical and sealing knowledge. It is recommended for contractors and designers familiar with customized lighting systems.
- Disconnect Power: Always disconnect power to the installation area before handling any wiring or components.
- Do Not Cut: To maintain waterproof integrity, the LED strip must not be cut.
- Uncoil Before Use: Always uncoil the LED strip completely before connecting to power to prevent overheating.
- UL676 Standard: This product meets UL676 Standard for underwater safety. Ensure all connected accessories also meet relevant safety standards.
- Low Voltage: Operates on 24V low voltage. Ensure compatible power supply is used.
- Waterproof Components: Use only IP67 or IP68 rated waterproof junction boxes and power supplies for all connections in wet environments.
What's in the Box
The package includes:
- Shine Decor IP68 Waterproof LED Strip Light (Warm White, 6m/19.69ft)
- Light kit included (specific components may vary by variant, refer to product packaging for details)
Note: Power supply, controller, mounting hardware, and waterproof boxes are sold separately and must be sourced based on project specifications.
Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation. Ensure all power is disconnected before beginning.
1. Choosing the LED Driver (Power Supply)
Select a UL-listed, Class 2, IP67 waterproof 24V LED driver with sufficient wattage for your LED strip length. For this 6m/19.69ft strip, a 96W driver is suitable. Ensure the driver's output voltage matches the LED strip's requirement (24V DC).

2. Connecting the Driver to a Waterproof Junction Box
Use an IP67 rated waterproof junction box (available in 2-way or 3-way configurations depending on your setup). Open the box by unscrewing the lid. Feed the driver's output cable through a screw cap and screw nut, then through an entry port of the junction box. Ensure about 5cm of cable protrudes inside the box. Secure the internal snap ring and tighten the screw cap and nut clockwise until fully sealed.

3. Connecting the LED Strip (Single Color) with Dimmer (Optional)
If using a dimmer, connect it between the power supply and the LED strip. Loosen the terminal screws on the dimmer's input side. Connect the red wire from the power supply to the V+ terminal and the black wire to the V- terminal. Tighten firmly. Then, feed the LED strip's cable through another screw cap and nut into the junction box. Loosen the output terminal screws on the dimmer. Connect the black wire from the LED strip to the V+ terminal and the white wire to the V- terminal. Tighten firmly. Ensure correct polarity (V+ to V+, V- to V-).

4. Connecting the LED Strip (RGB) with RGB Controller (Optional)
If using an RGB controller, connect it between the power supply and the RGB LED strip. Loosen the terminal screws on the controller's input side. Connect the red wire from the power supply to the V+ terminal and the black wire to the V- terminal. Tighten firmly. Then, feed the RGB LED strip's cable through another screw cap and nut into the junction box. Loosen the output terminal screws on the controller. Match the wire colors from the RGB strip to their corresponding labeled terminals on the controller (e.g., Red to R, Green to G, Blue to B, Black to V+). Insert each bare wire firmly and tighten all screws securely. Ensure no wires are loose.

5. Sealing Unused Ports
For any unused entry ports on the waterproof junction box, insert a sealing rubber plug and tighten the screw cap and nut to maintain the IP67 waterproof rating.

6. Final Waterproof Sealing of Junction Box
Ensure the rubber seal of the junction box lid is perfectly fitted into its groove, with no twists or gaps. Use a screwdriver to tighten the lid screws firmly, ensuring a complete waterproof seal.

Operation
Testing the Light
After completing all connections and ensuring proper sealing, plug the power supply into an electrical outlet. The LED strip should illuminate. If using a dimmer or RGB controller, use the provided remote control to adjust brightness, change colors (for RGB), or select dynamic lighting modes.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the surface of the LED strip with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the silicone material.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the LED strip and all connections for any signs of wear, damage, or water ingress. Address any issues promptly.
- Chemical Resistance: The silicone construction is resistant to chlorine, ozone, acids, and alkalis. However, prolonged exposure to extremely high concentrations of chemicals should be avoided.
- Temperature Range: Designed to withstand extreme temperatures from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C).
- UV Resistance: The material is UV resistant to prevent yellowing over time.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power, loose connection, incorrect wiring, faulty power supply/controller. | Check power source, ensure all connections are secure and correct polarity is observed. Test power supply/controller. |
| Remote control not responding. | Remote not paired, battery low, obstruction. | Refer to the remote manual for pairing instructions. Replace remote battery. Ensure clear line of sight. |
| Inconsistent light or flickering. | Loose connection, insufficient power, damaged strip. | Check all wiring connections. Ensure power supply wattage is adequate. Inspect strip for physical damage. |
| Water inside junction box. | Improper sealing of screw caps, nuts, or lid. | Immediately disconnect power. Open and dry the box. Re-seal all connections and the lid carefully, ensuring rubber seals are correctly seated. |
