Always use the correct needle type and size for your fabric. To change the needle, loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back, and tighten the screw securely.

General Cleaning

Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Skipped Stitches: Ensure the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent. Use the appropriate needle type for your fabric. Re-thread the machine completely.
  • Thread Breakage: Check for correct threading, proper tension settings, and ensure the needle is not dull or bent. Use quality thread.
  • Fabric Jamming: Verify that the presser foot is lowered before sewing. Clean the bobbin area for any lint buildup.
  • Uneven Stitches: Adjust the tension settings for both upper and bobbin threads. Ensure consistent fabric feeding.
