Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Printer
- Regularly wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.
- Clean the scanner glass with a soft, dry cloth or a glass cleaner applied to the cloth (not directly to the glass).
- Refer to the printer's utility software for options like print head cleaning or nozzle check, which help maintain print quality.
2. Ink Replacement
The Epson L4360 uses ink bottles for refilling. When an ink tank level is low, the printer's LCD display will indicate which color needs refilling. Purchase genuine Epson ink bottles for optimal performance and to prevent damage to the printer. Follow the same procedure as initial ink filling to replenish the tanks.
3. Clearing Paper Jams
If a paper jam occurs, the printer's LCD display will show an error message. Turn off the printer and carefully open all covers (front, rear, and top) to locate the jammed paper. Gently pull the paper out in the direction of the paper path. Avoid tearing the paper, as small pieces can remain inside and cause further issues. Close all covers and turn the printer back on.
Troubleshooting
- Printer Not Responding / Offline:
- Check power connections. Ensure the printer is turned on. Verify Wi-Fi or USB cable connection. Restart both the printer and your computer/router. Check printer status on your computer to ensure it's not set to 'Offline'.
- Poor Print Quality (Streaks, Faded Colors):
- Perform a nozzle check and print head cleaning using the printer's utility software or LCD menu. Ensure ink tanks are adequately filled. Use genuine Epson ink. Check paper type settings in your print driver.
- Paper Feed Issues (Multiple Sheets, No Feed):
- Ensure paper is loaded correctly and the paper guides are adjusted to the paper width. Fan the paper stack before loading to prevent sticking. Check for any foreign objects or torn paper pieces inside the printer.
- Scanner Not Working:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the computer and drivers are installed. Restart the computer and printer. Check if the scanner lid is fully closed. Try scanning from the printer's control panel directly.
