EDID Emulation

The KVM switch features EDID emulators on each input port. This ensures that your computers always receive correct display information, preventing common issues such as flickering, resolution mismatch, or loss of signal when switching between sources or powering off monitors.

Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Flickering:
    • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected.
    • Verify that the KVM switch is powered on.
    • Check monitor input settings to ensure they are set to the correct HDMI input.
    • Restart the KVM switch and connected computers.
    • The built-in EDID emulators should prevent most display issues. If problems persist, try connecting monitors directly to the computer to rule out monitor or cable issues.
  • Keyboard/Mouse Not Responding:
    • Ensure keyboard and mouse are connected to the dedicated USB ports on the KVM.
    • Verify the USB-B cables from computers to the KVM are securely connected.
    • Restart the KVM switch.
    • Note: Bluetooth keyboards/mice are not supported.
    • If using a gaming or mechanical keyboard/mouse, ensure it is compatible with the KVM's Semi-DDM USB pass-through technology.
