Operating Instructions
The SEAFLO utility pump offers both automatic and manual operating modes, along with intelligent protection features.
Operating Modes:
- Automatic Mode: The pump automatically activates when the water level reaches a certain height and shuts off when the water is sufficiently drained. This mode is ideal for continuous monitoring and hands-free operation in areas prone to flooding.
- Manual Mode: For immediate and continuous pumping, the pump can be manually activated. This is suitable for controlled drainage tasks where constant supervision is possible.
Intelligent Protection Features:
- Dry-Run Protection: The pump is designed to automatically shut off if it operates without water for more than 5 seconds, extending its motor life.
- Jam and Blockage Self-Recovery: In case the impeller is jammed or blocked, the pump will attempt to recover periodically to clear the obstruction.
- Airlock Handling: The pump is equipped to handle airlocks, ensuring continuous and efficient pumping.

Troubleshooting
- Pump Not Activating: Ensure the pump is properly connected to a 12V DC power source. In automatic mode, verify the water level is above the activation threshold.
- Reduced Flow/No Flow: Check the strainer for blockages and clean if necessary. Inspect the impeller for any obstructions. Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked.
- Airlock: If the pump stops due to an airlock, try tilting the pump slightly to release trapped air, or switch to manual mode briefly to clear the airlock.
- Dry-Run Protection Activation: If the pump shuts off unexpectedly, it might be due to dry-run protection. Ensure the pump is adequately submerged in water.
