The SUPVAN LP5120M is a portable label maker designed for various labeling needs. It features a QWERTY keyboard and an LCD screen for easy text input and preview.

5.1 Powering the Device

The LP5120M can be powered by the included AC adapter or by batteries.

Using the AC Adapter:

  1. Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the power port on the side of the label maker.
  2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

Installing Batteries (Optional):

  1. Ensure the label maker is turned off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom or back of the device.
  3. Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
  4. Insert 6 AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
  5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Loading Label Tape

  1. Ensure the label maker is turned off.
  2. Open the tape compartment cover, usually located on the top or back of the device.
  3. Insert the label tape cassette into the compartment, ensuring it clicks into place. The tape should feed smoothly into the print head.
  4. Close the tape compartment cover.

  1. After powering on, the cursor will appear on the LCD screen.
  2. Type your desired text using the QWERTY keyboard.
  3. Use the Shift key for uppercase letters and symbols.
  4. Use the Space key for spaces.
  5. Use the Backspace key to delete characters.

6.3 Formatting Labels

The LP5120M offers various formatting options:

  1. Press the Menu button to access formatting options.
  2. Use the navigation keys (Up/Down/Left/Right) to scroll through options like Font, Size, Bold, Italic, Underline, Frame, etc.
  3. Press Enter to select an option and apply changes.
  4. Press Esc to exit the menu without saving changes.

6.4 Printing a Label

  1. Once your text is entered and formatted as desired, press the Print button.
  2. The label maker will feed and print the label.
  3. After printing, manually push the cutter lever to cut the label.

7.1 Cleaning the Print Head

Regular cleaning ensures optimal print quality.

  1. Turn off the label maker and remove the label tape cassette.
  2. Gently wipe the print head with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
  3. Allow the print head to dry completely before reinserting the tape and turning on the device.

7.2 Replacing Label Tape

When the label tape runs out or you wish to change tape types:

  1. Turn off the label maker.
  2. Open the tape compartment cover.
  3. Remove the empty or unwanted label tape cassette.
  4. Insert a new SUPVAN label tape cassette as described in Section 5.2.
  5. Close the tape compartment cover.
