4. Installation

4.1 Important Notices

• Installation may require an installation frame kit, special ISO harness, amplifier adapter, or CANbus decoder depending on your vehicle's specific requirements.
• This unit does not support factory car GPS antenna, backup rear camera, Bluetooth, USB, or microphone. Use the provided accessories or compatible JOYING accessories.
• Only JOYING brand accessories are supported (e.g., DAB+ digital radio adapter, DVR, OBDII scanner, reverse camera, TPMS, steering wheel controller). These are not included and must be purchased separately.

4.2 Mounting the Unit

The unit features an upgraded installation structure with adjustable left and right brackets. These brackets can be extended or telescoped to achieve the best fixing position within your car's center console, accommodating a wider range of vehicles.

4.3 Wiring Connections

Refer to the included Installation Manual for detailed wiring diagrams specific to your vehicle. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Fast Boot

After the initial boot-up (which takes approximately 30-40 seconds), the unit will start up and enter the user interface within 2 seconds when the car key is turned on.

5.2 GPS Navigation

The unit includes precise GPS engines and an external GPS antenna for accurate positioning and real-time navigation. It supports offline maps; you can download map data for specific areas to the car stereo for use without an internet connection. You can also synchronize mobile phone map data via Carplay or Android Auto.

5.3 AM/FM Radio

Access the built-in AM/FM radio tuner to listen to your favorite stations. Use the touchscreen interface to scan, save presets, and adjust settings.

5.4 Hands-free Calling

Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to enable hands-free calling. This allows you to make and receive calls safely while driving.

5.5 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

5.6 Carplay & Android Auto

5.7 Split-screen Multitasking

The unit supports split-screen functionality, allowing you to run two applications simultaneously. For example, you can view navigation on one side and a media player on the other.

1. Tap the recent apps icon.
2. Find the app you want to run in split-screen, click the app icon to bring up the split-screen button, and tap it.
3. The first app will display on the left side; then choose the second app from recent apps.

5.8 Personalized Settings

Customize your user experience with various personalized settings, including changing the car boot logo, selecting customizable wallpapers, and adjusting button colors.

6. Connectivity

6.1 Built-in 4G Module

Insert a compatible SIM card into the designated slot for internet access. Note that the 4G module supports data only and cannot be used for phone calls or sending SMS messages. Supported types include FDD-LTE: B2/B4/B5/B7/B12/B13/B14/B17/B25/B26/B38/B66/B71 and TDD-LTE: B41.

6.2 Wi-Fi

The unit features an independent WiFi antenna to ensure stable signal quality and provide fast, smooth internet access. It supports 802.11a/b/g/n/AC standards across 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectral bands.

6.4 Optical Fiber and Coaxial Digital Output

For superior audio quality, the unit provides Optical Fiber and Coaxial Digital Outputs. If your external amplifier has compatible inputs, you can connect directly to achieve optimal sound performance.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Software Updates: Periodically check the JOYING official website for software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
• Cooling System: The unit features a dual heat sink design and a cooling fan. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. The fan will automatically activate if the CPU temperature or radio volume exceeds a set warning value.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Check all power connections and the vehicle's fuse box. Ensure the unit is properly installed.
• No Sound: Verify speaker connections, volume levels, and audio output settings. Check if an external amplifier is properly connected and powered.
• Touchscreen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (refer to the settings menu).
• GPS Signal Lost: Ensure the GPS antenna is correctly installed and has a clear view of the sky. Check antenna cable connections.
• Carplay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Ensure your phone's software is up to date. Try a different USB cable. Verify Bluetooth connection for wireless Carplay/Android Auto.
• Unit Overheating: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Check if the cooling fan is operating.
