3.1 Main Unit Installation

    • Suction Mount: Clean the surface, press the suction cup firmly, and engage the lever to secure it.

3.2 Rearview Camera Installation

The 1080P rearview camera enhances safety during reversing. Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Mount the Camera: Install the rearview camera at the rear of your vehicle, ensuring a clear view.
  2. Connect to Main Unit: Connect the black wire of the rearview camera to the AV IN port on the Carpuride screen.
  3. Power Connection (Important): The red wire of the rearview camera does not need to be connected to your vehicle's reverse light.
  4. Activate Rearview Mode: To display the rearview camera image, briefly press the rearview camera button located on the car charger.
  5. Settings Adjustment: Before use, manually enable the rearview mode in the Carpuride screen settings (Setting → Camera → Reverse line calibration) and customize the duration for the reversing display.

4. Operation

4.1 Power On/Off

  • The unit powers on automatically when your vehicle's ignition is turned on.
  • To manually turn the screen on/off, press the power button on the car charger.

4.2 Wireless CarPlay Connection (for iPhone)

Requires an iPhone running iOS 6 or above.

  1. On the Carpuride screen, switch to the "Carplay" mode.
  2. On your iPhone, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. Search for Bluetooth device "Carpuride_BT-XXX" and pair.
  4. Confirm "Pair" and "Allow" prompts on your iPhone.
  5. Select "Use CarPlay" when prompted.

4.3 Wireless Android Auto Connection (for Android Phones)

Requires an Android phone running Android 11 or higher and 5GHz Wi-Fi.

  1. On the Carpuride screen, switch to the "Android Auto" mode.
  2. On your Android phone, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. Find and select "Carpuride_BT-XXX" in your phone's Bluetooth settings to pair.
  4. Confirm "Pair" and "Allow" prompts.
  5. Android Auto will activate automatically.

4.4 Voice Control

After connecting your phone via CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use Siri or Google Assistant for hands-free control.

4.6 Audio Output Options

The unit supports four methods for audio output:

  • Built-in Speaker: Audio plays directly from the unit's integrated 8Ω2W speaker.
  • Bluetooth Audio: Connect the Carpuride unit to your vehicle's existing Bluetooth system for audio playback through your car speakers.
  • FM Transmitter: Tune your car's FM radio to a specific frequency to receive audio from the Carpuride unit.

4.7 Split-Screen Mode

When using CarPlay or Android Auto, you can switch between full-screen and split-screen modes to view multiple applications simultaneously.

  • Access the split-screen option from the main interface or within the CarPlay/Android Auto settings.
  • Common split-screen configurations include navigation with music, or front camera view with navigation.

4.8 Phone Mirroring Link (Super Link)

Project your smartphone's screen content onto the Carpuride display for viewing videos, photos, or other applications. This feature is available for both Android (Evelink) and iPhone (Airplay/Evelink).

For iPhone (Airplay/Evelink):

  1. Switch to "Airplay" mode on the Carpuride screen.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.
  3. Connect to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Carpuride Screen (e.g., "AIRPLAY_XXXX").
  4. On your iPhone, open Control Center, select "Screen Mirroring," and choose "AIRPLAY-XXXX".

For Android (Evelink):

  1. Switch to "Super Link" mode and select "Android" on the Carpuride screen.
  2. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen to download and install the "Evelink" application on your phone.
  3. Open the Evelink app, select "Wi-Fi Direct" connection mode, and connect to the device (e.g., "EVELINK-XXXX").

Note: To disconnect, enter the "Evelink" application and click the "disconnect" button. When using mirror casting, your mobile phone screen must remain bright.

4.9 Dash Cam and Backup Camera Operation

  • Automatic Recording: The 4K front dash cam and 1080P rear camera begin simultaneous loop recording automatically when the unit powers on.
  • Loop Recording: Older files are overwritten by new recordings when the memory card is full. The included 64GB TF card ensures ample storage.
  • Emergency Recording: The G-Sensor feature automatically locks video files during sudden impacts or collisions to prevent them from being overwritten.
  • Viewing Recordings: Videos can be played back directly on the Carpuride screen or downloaded to your phone via Wi-Fi using the dedicated mobile app.

4.10 Mobile App Playback

The Carpuride unit connects to your phone via Wi-Fi, allowing you to download and manage recorded videos directly on your smartphone.

  1. Install the recommended mobile application (e.g., "Viidure" as shown in images) on your smartphone.
  2. Connect your phone to the Carpuride unit's Wi-Fi network.

  • Memory Card: Periodically format the TF card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important videos before formatting.
