1. Introduction

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo is a compact and highly portable 3-axis gimbal camera designed for capturing stable, high-quality video and photos. It features a 1-inch CMOS sensor capable of recording 4K/120fps video, ensuring excellent performance even in challenging lighting conditions. The rotatable 2-inch touchscreen allows for quick switching between horizontal and vertical shooting modes, enhancing versatility for various content creation needs. With advanced features like ActiveTrack 6.0 and Face Auto-Detect, the camera intelligently keeps subjects in frame, making vlogging and dynamic shots effortless. The Creator Combo includes additional accessories to expand its capabilities, such as an extended battery handle, a mini tripod, a wide-angle lens, and the DJI Mic 2 for superior audio recording.

3. Setup

1. Charging: Connect the Osmo Pocket 3 to a power source using the provided Type-C to Type-C PD Cable. The device supports fast charging, reaching 80% charge in approximately 16 minutes and a full charge in about 32 minutes.
2. MicroSD Card: Insert a compatible microSD card into the designated slot on the side of the device for internal recording. The device does not have onboard storage.
3. Power On/Off: Rotate the integrated 2-inch touchscreen to power on the device. The gimbal will automatically calibrate. To power off, rotate the screen back to its closed position or hold the power button.
4. Attaching Accessories:
   • Battery Handle: Align the USB-C connector of the battery handle with the bottom port of the Osmo Pocket 3 and push firmly until it clicks into place. This extends battery life and provides a 1/4" thread for mounting.
   • Mini Tripod: Screw the mini tripod onto the 1/4" thread of the battery handle or directly onto the Osmo Pocket 3 if not using the handle.
   • DJI Mic 2 Transmitter: Power on the DJI Mic 2 transmitter. It will automatically connect to the Osmo Pocket 3 via Bluetooth. Use the clip or magnetic attachment to secure it to clothing.
   • Wide-Angle Lens: The wide-angle lens attaches magnetically to the camera lens.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Screen Navigation & Gimbal Control

• Touchscreen: The 2-inch rotatable touchscreen allows you to adjust settings, preview footage, and navigate menus. Swipe up, down, left, or right to access different functions and modes.
• Joystick: Use the integrated joystick for precise control over the gimbal's pan and tilt movements.
• Horizontal/Vertical Switching: Simply rotate the touchscreen to switch between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations.
• ActiveTrack 6.0 & Face Auto-Detect: Tap on a subject on the touchscreen to activate ActiveTrack. The gimbal will automatically follow the selected subject. Face Auto-Detect ensures your face remains centered during vlogging.
• Gimbal Modes: Access various gimbal modes (e.g., Follow, Tilt Locked, FPV) through the touchscreen menu to suit different shooting scenarios.

4.2 Shooting Modes

• Video: Record in resolutions up to 4K at 120 frames per second for high-quality, smooth footage.
• Slow Motion: Capture dramatic slow-motion effects in 4K at 120 frames per second.
• Time-Lapse & Hyperlapse: Condense long periods into short, dynamic videos. Motion-lapse adds camera movement to your time-lapses.
• Panorama: Capture wide, expansive shots with 180° panorama or 3x3 panorama modes.
• Photo: Take sharp still images with various settings.

4.3 Audio Recording

• Built-in Microphones: The Osmo Pocket 3 features three built-in microphones for omnidirectional stereo sound recording with ambient noise reduction.
• DJI Mic 2 Transmitter: For enhanced audio quality, use the included DJI Mic 2 transmitter. It connects wirelessly and allows for remote recording control directly from the transmitter.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body and screen. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution.
• Storage: Store the Osmo Pocket 3 in its protective cover and carrying bag when not in use to prevent damage. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the DJI Mimo app to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

• Connectivity Issues: Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on both the Osmo Pocket 3 and your mobile device. Restart both devices and try reconnecting through the DJI Mimo app.
• Battery Drain: If the battery drains quickly, ensure all unnecessary features (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) are turned off when not in use. Consider using the extended battery handle for longer shooting times.
• Recording Problems: Check if the microSD card has sufficient storage space and is formatted correctly. Ensure the card is compatible with 4K recording speeds.
