5. Installation

5.1 Battery Installation

The thermostat requires two AA alkaline batteries (not included) for operation.

  1. Gently open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the thermostat.
  2. Insert two AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Mounting

The thermostat can be wall-mounted or placed on a battery seat.

  1. Choose a suitable location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect temperature readings.
  2. If wall-mounting, use the provided screws to secure the thermostat to the wall.
  3. Ensure the thermostat is level and securely fastened.

5.3 Wiring

Warning: Wiring should only be performed by a qualified electrician to prevent electrical shock or damage to the unit. Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the thermostat or in the included manual for specific connections. The thermostat provides switch relay output for connection to your heating or cooling system.

6. Operating Instructions

The thermostat features a rotary press key and a few simple buttons for operation.

6.1 Key Functions

  • Rotary Press Key (A): Rotate clockwise to increase settings (e.g., temperature).
  • Rotary Press Key (B): Rotate anti-clockwise to decrease settings (e.g., temperature).
  • Press Key (B): Short press to switch between Auto and Manual modes. Long press for 3 seconds to enter the setting interface.
  • Press Key (C): Power on/off key. Long press for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate child lock.

6.2 Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press and hold key C to turn the thermostat on or off.
  2. Mode Selection: Short press key B to toggle between Automatic and Manual operating modes. In Automatic mode, the thermostat follows the programmed schedule. In Manual mode, it maintains the set temperature until changed.
  3. Setting Temperature: In Manual mode, rotate the Rotary Press Key (A for increase, B for decrease) to adjust the desired temperature. The new setting will be displayed and applied.

6.3 Programmable Settings

The thermostat supports a weekly programming cycle. To access and configure the programmable settings:

  1. Long press key B for 3 seconds to enter the setting interface.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts and use the rotary press key to navigate and adjust parameters for each day of the week and time periods.
  3. Confirm settings by pressing the appropriate key as indicated on the screen.

6.4 Child Lock

To prevent unintended changes, you can activate the child lock feature by long pressing key C for 3 seconds. Repeat the action to deactivate the child lock.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the thermostat's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to use fresh AA alkaline batteries.
  • Avoid Obstructions: Ensure no objects block the thermostat's vents or sensors, as this can affect temperature readings.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Display: Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
