Setup
Refilling the Butane Tank
The LEXIVON LX-761 torch is shipped without butane fuel. You must fill the tank before first use. Ensure the torch is in the "OFF" position and completely cooled before refilling.
- Turn the flame adjustment knob to the minimum setting (counter-clockwise).
- Locate the refill valve at the bottom of the torch.
- Hold the torch upside down.
- Firmly press the nozzle of a high-quality butane fuel canister into the refill valve.
- Hold for approximately 10-15 seconds until the tank is full. A slight overflow may occur, indicating a full tank.
- Wait a few minutes after refilling before ignition to allow the gas to stabilize.

Operating Instructions
Ignition
- Ensure the safety lock is disengaged (slide the lock switch to the "UNLOCKED" position).
- Adjust the flame control knob to your desired setting. A higher setting will produce a larger flame.
- Press the ignition trigger. You should hear a hiss of gas followed by the ignition of the flame.
- To maintain the flame without holding the trigger, slide the safety lock to the "LOCKED" position while the flame is active.
- To extinguish the flame, slide the safety lock back to the "UNLOCKED" position (if locked) and release the ignition trigger.
Adjusting the Flame
The LX-761 features an adjustable flame. Use the flame adjustment knob to change the intensity and type of flame:
- Turn the knob clockwise for a smaller, softer yellow flame.
- Turn the knob counter-clockwise for a larger, powerful blue jet flame.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After use, ensure the torch is completely cool. Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Nozzle Care: Keep the nozzle free from debris. Do not attempt to clean the nozzle with sharp objects, as this may damage the torch.
- Storage: Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and any heat sources. Ensure the safety lock is engaged and the flame adjustment is set to minimum before storage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Torch does not ignite. | No butane fuel; safety lock engaged; gas valve closed; air in tank. | Refill with butane; disengage safety lock; open gas valve; purge air by pressing refill valve with a small tool until hiss stops, then refill. |
| Flame is weak or inconsistent. | Low butane level; improper flame adjustment; air in tank; clogged nozzle. | Refill butane; adjust flame control knob; purge air and refill; gently tap the nozzle to dislodge debris (do not use sharp objects). |
| Gas leaks from refill valve. | Improper refilling technique; faulty valve. | Ensure butane canister nozzle is firmly and straightly pressed into the valve; if problem persists, discontinue use and contact customer support. |
