GOODEA 17.5-Inch Rechargeable Motion Sensor Under Cabinet Light

1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the GOODEA 17.5-inch rechargeable under cabinet light, Model GDCL022. This wireless light features a motion sensor, adjustable color temperature, and dimming capabilities, designed for various indoor applications such as kitchens, closets, and hallways.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the light. The built-in 4-level power indicator will show charging progress and remaining battery life. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.

4.2 Mounting Options

The GOODEA under cabinet light offers flexible installation methods:

• Magnetic Mount: The light has built-in magnets. Attach the included metal plates with adhesive backing to your desired surface, then simply snap the light onto the plates.
• Adhesive Mount: For non-magnetic surfaces, use the adhesive backing on the magnetic strips to directly attach the light.
• Hanging Hook: Utilize the integrated hanging hooks for temporary placement or in areas where magnetic/adhesive mounting is not suitable.

4.3 Installation Tips

• Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before applying adhesive.
• For optimal motion sensor performance, avoid placing lights too close together (maintain a distance greater than 20 inches).
• Do not install lights facing each other, as this can interfere with motion detection.
• Position the light at least 2 inches from cabinet edges to prevent obstruction of the sensor.
• Adhesive mounting works best on smooth surfaces like tile, metal, wood, and smooth glass. It may not adhere well to painted, drywall, cement, or wallpaper surfaces.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power Modes

The light features two main operating modes, selected via a push button:

• Auto Mode (Motion Sensor): In this mode, the light will only activate in low-light conditions when motion is detected within a 10ft range and 120° angle. It will automatically turn off after 25 seconds of no detected movement. This mode is energy-efficient and ideal for hands-free lighting.
• Always-On Mode: The light remains continuously on until manually turned off.
• OFF: The light is completely off.

5.2 Adjusting Color Temperature

The light offers three adjustable color temperatures:

• 3000K: Warm White
• 4500K: Neutral White
• 6000K: Cool White

To change the color temperature, short press the dedicated button on the light. Each press will cycle through the available temperatures.

5.3 Adjusting Brightness

The light supports stepless dimming from 10% to 100% brightness. To adjust brightness, press and hold the dedicated button. Release the button when the desired brightness level is achieved.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the light, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the light in water, as it is not water-resistant.

6.2 Recharging

Recharge the light when the battery indicator shows low power. The 4500mAh battery provides approximately 14 hours of continuous use at maximum brightness or up to 3 months in motion sensor mode (based on 15 activations per day). Frequent recharging is normal depending on usage.

7. Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on:
  • Ensure the light is charged. Check the battery indicator.
  • Verify the light is not in the 'OFF' mode.
  • In 'Auto' mode, ensure there is sufficient darkness and motion is detected within range.
• Motion sensor is not working:
  • Confirm the light is in 'Auto' mode.
  • Ensure the environment is dark enough for the sensor to activate.
  • Check for obstructions blocking the sensor.
  • Ensure proper installation distance from other lights or reflective surfaces (refer to Installation Tips).
• Short battery life:
  • Ensure the light is fully charged before use.
  • High brightness settings and frequent activations in 'Always-On' mode will consume battery faster.
  • Consider using 'Auto' mode for extended battery life.
• Light flickers or dims unexpectedly:
  • The battery may be low. Recharge the device.
  • Ensure the charging cable and power adapter are functioning correctly.

8.1 Manufacturer's Warranty

The GOODEA 17.5-inch Under Cabinet Light (Model GDCL022) is covered by a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
