Introduction

The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x™ Multi-Styler and Dryer is an advanced hair styling tool designed to dry and style hair simultaneously using the Coanda effect. This innovative device offers multiple attachments to achieve various styles, from defined curls to smooth, straight looks, while minimizing heat damage. Setup

Before first use, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The Dyson Airwrap is designed for immediate use upon unboxing, requiring no initial charging as it operates via a power cord. Familiarize yourself with the main unit and its various attachments.

Identifying and Attaching Components

• Main Unit: This is the core of the Airwrap, housing the motor and controls.
• Co-anda2x™ Smoothing Dryer: Used for pre-drying hair to a damp state before styling, or for a smooth finish.
• 1.2" and 1.6" Co-anda2x™ Barrels: These barrels attract and wrap hair using the Coanda effect to create voluminous curls or waves. The larger barrel creates looser curls, while the smaller one creates tighter curls.
• Firm Smoothing Brush: Designed to straighten and smooth frizz-prone hair.
• Soft Smoothing Brush: Ideal for creating a smooth, blow-dry finish for finer hair.
• Round Volumizing Brush: Directs air into the hair to create volume and shape.
• 2-in-1 Wave+Curl Diffuser 2x: Specifically designed to enhance and define natural curls and coils.

To attach any accessory, align the attachment with the top of the main unit and push it firmly until it clicks into place. To remove, pull the attachment away from the main unit.

Operating Instructions

The Dyson Airwrap utilizes intelligent heat control to prevent extreme heat damage, measuring air temperature over 40 times a second. For optimal results, start with damp, towel-dried hair.

Powering On/Off and Settings

• Power Button: Press the power button to turn the device on or off.
• Airflow Control: Use the airflow button to adjust the intensity of the airflow.
• Temperature Control: Use the temperature button to select your desired heat setting.
• Cold Shot: Press and hold the cold shot button to set your style with cool air.

Using the Attachments

Each attachment is designed for a specific styling purpose. Ensure your hair is damp for most styling, except for the smoothing dryer which can be used on wet hair.

• Co-anda2x™ Smoothing Dryer: Use this attachment to quickly pre-dry hair until it is damp, or to achieve a smooth, sleek finish.

• Co-anda2x™ Barrels (1.2" and 1.6"): For curling, take a section of damp hair and bring the barrel close to it. The Coanda effect will automatically wrap the hair around the barrel. Hold until dry, then use the cold shot to set the curl. The barrels can be switched to curl in different directions.

• Smoothing Brushes (Firm and Soft): Use these brushes on damp hair to achieve a straighter, smoother style. The firm brush is for frizz-prone hair, while the soft brush is for finer hair. Brush slowly through sections of hair, allowing the airflow to dry and smooth.

• 2-in-1 Wave+Curl Diffuser 2x: Attach the diffuser for enhancing natural curls and coils. Use on damp hair, gently cupping sections of hair in the diffuser bowl and lifting towards the scalp.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Dyson Airwrap.

Cleaning the Filter

The filter at the bottom of the main unit should be cleaned regularly to prevent airflow restriction. A clogged filter can lead to overheating and reduced performance.

1. Ensure the device is unplugged and cool.
2. Twist the filter cage counter-clockwise and pull it down to remove.
3. Use the provided filter cleaning brush to gently clean any dust or debris from the filter mesh.
4. Clean the inner mesh of the filter cage as well.
5. Reinsert the filter cage and twist clockwise until it locks into place.

Cleaning Attachments

Wipe attachments with a damp, soft cloth. Do not submerge them in water or use abrasive cleaners. For brushes, gently remove any trapped hair.

Storage

Store your Dyson Airwrap and its attachments in the provided storage case to protect them from dust and damage. Ensure the device is completely cool before storing.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Dyson Airwrap, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Device not powering on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Ensure the power button is fully pressed.
• Reduced airflow or overheating: This is often due to a clogged filter. Refer to the "Cleaning the Filter" section under Maintenance.
• Attachments not working correctly: Ensure the attachment is securely clicked into place on the main unit. Check for any hair or debris obstructing the airflow within the attachment.
• Hair not wrapping around barrels: Ensure your hair is damp (not soaking wet or completely dry). Take smaller sections of hair. Check that the airflow is set to a sufficient level.
