- 2K (Best): 2560 x 1440 resolution for maximum detail.
- 1080p (Standard): 1920 x 1080 resolution.

2. Color Vision in Low Light
The camera can provide color video in low-light conditions if sufficient ambient light is present. If ambient light is insufficient, the camera will automatically switch to infrared (black and white) mode.
- To enable color vision in low light, ensure the "Night Vision" setting in the app is set to OFF. This disables the IR LEDs, allowing the camera to utilize available ambient light for color capture.
- If "Night Vision" is ON, the camera will use its IR LEDs and record in black and white.
3. Two-Way Audio
Utilize the two-way audio feature to communicate with visitors or deter unwanted activity. The camera includes advanced noise cancellation for clear conversations.
- Access the live view in the Blink Home Monitor app.
- Tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera.
- Tap the speaker icon to hear audio from the camera's location.
4. Smart Detection
With an optional Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately), the camera offers smart notifications for person and vehicle detection, reducing unnecessary alerts.
- Enable smart detection features within the Blink Home Monitor app settings for your camera.
- Receive notifications only for the motion that matters most to you.

The camera supports up to 4x digital zoom, allowing you to get a closer look at details within the video feed.
- During live view or when reviewing recorded clips in the app, use pinch-to-zoom gestures to magnify the image.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The Blink Outdoor 2K+ camera is designed for up to two years of battery life. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification in the Blink Home Monitor app.
- Replace batteries with two new AA 1.5V lithium metal (non-rechargeable) batteries. Using other battery types may affect performance and battery life.
- Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.
2. Weather Resistance
The camera features an IP-65 weather-resistant design, protecting it from rain, dust, and severe weather conditions. Ensure the battery compartment cover is securely closed to maintain this protection.
3. Cleaning
Periodically clean the camera lens and housing to ensure optimal image quality and performance.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the camera's exterior.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the lens or housing.
Troubleshooting
1. Connectivity Issues
If your camera is experiencing connection problems:
- Sync Module Placement: Ensure your Blink Sync Module is positioned in an open area, centrally located to your cameras, and not obstructed by walls or large objects.
- Wi-Fi Router Placement: Your Wi-Fi router should also be in an open, elevated position to provide a strong signal to the Sync Module and cameras.
- Internet Speed: Verify your internet upload speeds meet the recommended minimums for video quality settings (e.g., 6 Mbps for Best quality).
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n, as the camera does not support 5 GHz networks.
2. Camera Discovery Failure During Setup
If the camera fails to be discovered during the setup process:
- Observe the camera's LED light pattern. If it blinks 5 times in 5 seconds, then pauses for 10 seconds repeatedly, it indicates a discovery issue.
- Ensure the batteries are correctly inserted and fully charged.
- Try restarting the Sync Module and then attempting camera discovery again.
- If the issue persists, contact Blink support for further assistance.
3. Image Quality or Night Vision Issues
If you are experiencing unexpected image quality or night vision behavior:
- Color Vision: For color video in low light, ensure the "Night Vision" setting in the app is set to OFF. Sufficient ambient light is required for this feature.
- Infrared (Black & White): If "Night Vision" is ON, the camera will use its IR LEDs and record in black and white, regardless of ambient light.
- Lens Clarity: Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from dirt, dust, or condensation.
