The TAOPON Smartwatch features a 1.97-inch AMOLED full-touch display, a rotary crown, and an ECG function button. It is equipped with multiple sensors for comprehensive health monitoring.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your smartwatch. Connect the magnetic charging cable to the charging contacts on the back of the watch and plug the USB end into a power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge typically takes about 2 hours.

4.2. App Installation

To unlock all features and synchronize data, download the HBand application on your smartphone. Search for "HBand" in the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) and install it.

4.3. Device Pairing

  1. Ensure your smartwatch is charged and powered on.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  3. Open the HBand app. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your device. The app will search for available smartwatches.
  4. Select "Montre Connectée Homme" or the device ID that appears in the app to connect.
  5. Confirm the pairing request on both your phone and the smartwatch if prompted.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Navigation

  • Touchscreen: Swipe left/right, up/down to navigate menus and screens. Tap to select items.
  • Rotary Crown: Rotate the crown to scroll through menus and watch faces. Press once to return to the home screen or a previous function page. Press and hold to power the device on or off.

5.2. Health Monitoring

  • ECG + HRV: Place your fingers on the side electrodes of the watch. The device will quickly capture your cardiac data. Specific monitoring data can be downloaded and viewed in the HBand mobile application.
  • Blood Components / BIM: The smartwatch can measure blood components such as uric acid, total cholesterol, and triglycerides. It also provides BIM analysis for body fat rate and other body composition data.
  • Temperature: Place your finger on the electrode key to measure your body temperature.
  • Blood Pressure, Blood Oxygen (SpO2), Heart Rate: The watch continuously monitors these vital signs in real-time.
  • Sleep Monitoring: Tracks your sleep cycle and provides detailed reports to help optimize sleep quality.
  • Stress Monitoring & Breathing Training: Features to track stress levels and guide breathing exercises to reduce anxiety.

5.3. Sports Modes

  • SOS Emergency Mode: After adding emergency contacts in the HBand app, press and hold the circular button and swipe to the SOS function to call for help during an emergency.
  • Alarm Clock, Find Phone, Weather Forecast, Timer, Stopwatch, Sedentary Reminder, Drinking Water Reminder, Games: Access these functions through the watch's menu.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Water Resistance (IP67)

The smartwatch has an IP67 water resistance rating. This means it is resistant to splashes, rain, and sweat, making it suitable for daily use like washing hands. However, it is not recommended for swimming, bathing, or prolonged submersion in water, especially hot water, as this may damage the device.

6.2. Cleaning and Care

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the watch is fully charged. Press and hold the rotary crown for several seconds.
  • Cannot pair with smartphone:
    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the watch.
    2. Make sure the watch is within range of your phone.
    3. Restart both your phone and the smartwatch.
    4. Check the HBand app for any pending updates or permissions.
  • Inaccurate health readings: Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist. Clean the sensors on the back of the watch. Remember that readings are for reference and not medical grade.
  • Short battery life: Reduce screen brightness, disable unnecessary notifications, and limit continuous health monitoring if not needed.
  • Notifications not appearing: Check app permissions on your phone for HBand. Ensure the app is running in the background and not restricted by power-saving settings.
