5. Setup and Initial Use

The S65 Translation Scanning Pen is designed for instant use. Follow these simple steps to get started:

1. Charging: Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device using the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the pen's Type-C port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off.
3. Language Selection: Upon first power-on, you may be prompted to select your preferred system language. Navigate using the touch screen or navigation buttons.

6.2. Offline Scanning Translation

For situations without internet access, the pen supports offline scanning translation for Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.

1. Select "Offline Scanning" from the main menu.
2. Choose the desired offline language pair.
3. Scan the text as described in the Online Scanning section.

6.3. Speech Translation

Engage in real-time voice translation for conversations in 134 online languages or 9 offline languages.

1. Select "Speech Translation" from the main menu.
2. Choose the two languages for conversation.
3. Press and hold the microphone button (or tap the screen icon) and speak clearly into the pen's microphone. Release the button when finished.
4. The pen will translate and speak the translation aloud.

6.4. Text Extraction and Synchronization

Convert scanned paper documents into editable electronic files and sync them to your cloud account.

1. Scan documents in "Text Extraction" mode (available for 29 languages).
2. After scanning, the text will be displayed. You can then choose to save or synchronize it.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your cloud service (if applicable) and upload the extracted text.

For Chinese language learners, the Pinyin scanning feature provides real pronunciation reading and pure pronunciation.

1. Select "Pinyin Scanning" from the main menu.
