1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the YinZhiBoo 48V 17.5A Lithium-ion Ebike Battery, Model Sea Dragon PLUS (V1). This battery is designed for electric bicycles and compatible with motors ranging from 250W to 1000W.

3. Setup and Installation

The battery is designed for secure mounting on your electric bicycle frame. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Ensure your e-bike is turned off and the power is disconnected.
2. Mount the battery base plate securely to the bicycle frame using the provided hardware. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.
3. Align the battery with the base plate.
4. Slide the battery onto the base plate until it clicks into place.
5. Use the key to lock the battery to the frame for security.
6. Connect the battery's power cable to your e-bike's motor system.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the battery, press the on/off button located on the battery casing. To power off, press the button again. Always turn off the battery when not in use to conserve power.

4.2 Battery Indicator

The battery indicator lights provide an estimate of the remaining charge:

• 1 Red 3 Green: Approximately 100% charge.
• 1 Red 2 Green: Approximately 75% charge.
• 1 Red 1 Green: Approximately 50% charge.
• 1 Red 0 Green: Approximately 25% charge.

4.3 Charging the Battery

Charge the battery using the provided charger. The charging process typically takes 4-6 hours for a full charge. The battery features an IP65 waterproof design, but ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the charger.

Important Charging Notes:

• Only use the charger supplied by YinZhiBoo.
• Do not exceed a charge current of 5 Amps through the charge socket.
• Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not leave the battery charging unattended for extended periods.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your battery.

• Cleaning: Wipe the battery exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
• Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50-70% capacity. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (0°C to 20°C is ideal). Recharge every 2-3 months to prevent deep discharge.
• Temperature: Avoid operating the battery in extremely hot or cold conditions, as this can affect performance and lifespan.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your battery, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Battery not powering on:
  • Ensure the battery is charged.
  • Check if the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
  • Verify that the battery is securely locked and connected to the e-bike.
• Battery not charging:
  • Confirm the charger is properly connected to both the battery and the power outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is functional.
  • Ensure the charging port on the battery is clean and free of obstructions.
  • Verify that you are using the correct charger for this battery model.
• Reduced range or power:
  • The battery may not be fully charged.
  • Operating in extremely cold temperatures can temporarily reduce performance.
