- This product is designed for outdoor use with cold water only. Do not use with hot water or in indoor applications.
- Do not immerse the timer in water.
- Use only 2 AA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Remove batteries if the timer will not be used for an extended period or during freezing temperatures to prevent damage.
- Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
- Slide the battery cover open.
- Insert two (2) new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely. The LCD screen will activate.

2. Connecting the Timer
- Thread the timer onto your outdoor faucet. The swivel connector allows for easy and leak-free attachment. Hand-tighten only.
- Connect your garden hose to the bottom outlet of the timer. Hand-tighten only.
- Ensure the faucet is turned on fully after installation.

Operating Instructions
The Gilmour Single Outlet Water Timer features a clear LCD screen and intuitive buttons for programming. The screen displays current time, weekdays, and battery level. The main buttons are:
- Faucet Icon Button: Manual Function (water outside of scheduled timing).
- Minus (-) Button: Decrease values when setting a schedule.
- ECO Button: Activates Eco Mode to divide running time into multiple periods.
- OK Button: Selects or confirms settings.
- Plus/Rain Cloud Icon (+/↑) Button: Increase values when setting a schedule, or activate Rain Delay.
- Menu Icon Button: Accesses the Main Menu to set clock and watering schedules.

1. Setting the Clock
- Press the Menu Icon Button to enter the main menu.
- Use the +/↑ or - buttons to adjust the current time (hour and minute).
- Press OK to confirm each setting and move to the next.
- Set the current day of the week.
- Press OK to save and exit.
2. Programming Watering Schedules
The timer supports up to three independent schedules, labeled A, B, and C. Each schedule can run from 1 to 360 minutes.

- Press the Menu Icon Button repeatedly until you reach the desired schedule (A, B, or C).
- Set Start Time: Use +/↑ or - to adjust the start time for the schedule. Press OK.
- Set Run Time: Use +/↑ or - to set the duration (1 to 360 minutes). Press OK.
- Set Frequency: Choose between Week mode, Interval Day mode, or Parity Day Mode. Use +/↑ or - to select and OK to confirm.
- Week Mode: Select specific days of the week for watering.
- Interval Day Mode: Water every X days (e.g., every 2 days).
- Parity Day Mode: Water on odd or even days.
- Press OK to save the schedule.
3. Rain Delay Function
The rain delay feature allows you to pause watering for a specified period, preventing overwatering and conserving water after rainfall.

- Use the +/↑ or - buttons to select the desired delay duration (1 to 15 days).
- Press OK to activate the rain delay. The timer will resume its programmed schedule after the delay period ends.
4. Manual Watering
To water immediately outside of your programmed schedules:
- Press the Faucet Icon Button.
- Use the +/↑ or - buttons to set the manual watering duration (1 to 240 minutes).
- Press OK to start manual watering. The timer will automatically shut off after the set duration.
- To stop manual watering early, press the Faucet Icon Button again.
5. Eco Mode
Eco Mode divides the total watering time into multiple shorter bursts with pause intervals, which can improve water absorption and reduce runoff.
- While setting a watering schedule, or after a schedule is set, press the ECO Button.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to configure the burst duration and pause intervals.
- Press OK to confirm and activate Eco Mode for the selected schedule.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the timer's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Filter Screen: The timer includes a clog-resistant filter screen at the inlet. Regularly check and clean this screen to prevent debris from entering the timer and affecting water flow.
- Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the timer from the faucet and hose. Remove the batteries. Store the timer indoors in a dry, frost-free location.
- Battery Replacement: The LCD screen displays a battery indicator. Replace batteries promptly when the indicator shows low power to ensure continuous operation.
