5. Setup Instructions
5.1 Powering On
Connect the provided power adapter to the radon monitor.
Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The device will power on automatically.
5.2 Mobile App Installation and Device Pairing
The LifeBasis Smart Radon Monitor connects to your smartphone via the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, as the device does not support 5GHz networks.
Download the App: Search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" in your phone's app store (iOS/Android) or scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or on the device. Download Smart Life App
Register/Log In: Register for a new account with your mobile phone number or email, then log in.
Enable Phone Services: Turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location services on your smartphone.
Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the "reset" button on the radon monitor for more than 5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red quickly, and you will hear an audible "Di Di" sound, indicating the device is in Bluetooth network distribution status.
Add Device in App: In the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app, click the "Add device" button or the "+" icon in the upper right corner. The app will discover nearby devices. Click "Add" to start pairing.
Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password. The device will connect to Wi-Fi, and the connection status will be confirmed in the app. You can then access the device page.

6.1 Understanding Radon Readings
The monitor displays radon levels in pCi/L (picocuries per liter). The first radon result will appear within 10 minutes, with data updating every 10 minutes. A highly reliable result is typically achieved within 60 minutes.

6.2 Short-Term and Long-Term Monitoring
Radon levels can fluctuate. The app allows you to view hourly, daily, and monthly radon data and historical values. Continuous long-term monitoring provides the most accurate assessment of radon exposure.

The device provides visual and audible alerts, along with smartphone notifications, when radon levels exceed a set threshold.
