3. Setup

3.1 Component Identification

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the supplied power cable to the power socket (21) on the rear of the mixer and then to a suitable AC power outlet. Ensure the power switch (22) is in the OFF position before connecting.

Connect microphones, instruments, and other audio sources to the appropriate input jacks (1, 13). Use XLR connectors for microphones and 1/4" jacks for line-level instruments or stereo inputs.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

After all connections are made, turn on the mixer using the power switch (22). Turn off the mixer by flipping the switch to the OFF position.

4.2 Gain Adjustment

Use the GAIN knob (4) for each channel to set the input level. Adjust it so that the peak indicator lights only occasionally, avoiding clipping.

4.3 Phantom Power (+48V)

For condenser microphones, activate the +48V phantom power switch. This supplies power through the XLR cable. Ensure dynamic microphones are not connected when phantom power is active, as it may cause damage.

4.4 Equalization (EQ)

Each channel features a 4-band EQ (6) for precise tonal adjustments: HI, FREQ, MID, and LOW. Adjust these knobs to shape the sound of each input.

4.5 DSP Effects

The mixer includes a built-in 24-bit DSP processor with 24 reverb effects. Use the DSP adjustment (15) to select and modify effects. The PROGRAM knob selects the effect, and the MIN/MAX parameter knob adjusts its intensity.

4.6 Grouping Channels

Channels can be grouped for separate mixing. Press the G1-G2 or G3-G4 button (11) below each track to assign it to a group. Then, adjust the group's overall volume using the corresponding group fader (20).

4.7 Bluetooth Connectivity

The BX16 supports Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 for stable audio transmission:

  1. Activate Bluetooth on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
  2. Search for available devices and select "BT SPEAKER".
  3. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the mixer.

4.8 USB Recording and Playback
