4. Setup and Installation

Follow these general steps to assemble your PC within the Cooler Master Elite 302 case. Always refer to your component manuals for specific installation details.

  1. Prepare the Case: Carefully remove the side panels (tempered glass and solid steel) by unscrewing the thumb screws.
  2. Install Motherboard: Secure your Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard onto the pre-installed standoffs. Ensure all screws are tightened appropriately.

  4. Install CPU and Cooler: Mount your CPU onto the motherboard, then install your CPU cooler. Ensure it fits within the 163.5mm height clearance.
  5. Install Graphics Card (GPU): Insert your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot. The case supports GPUs up to 365mm in length. Secure it with screws.
  6. Install Power Supply Unit (PSU): Mount your PSU into the dedicated compartment at the bottom of the case. Ensure it fits within the 160mm length clearance.
  7. Install Storage Drives: Install your SSDs or HDDs into the designated drive bays.
  8. Cable Management: Route all power and data cables through the cutouts in the motherboard tray to the rear of the case. Utilize the cable tie points for a clean and organized build.

  10. Connect Front Panel I/O: Connect the front panel cables (USB, audio, power, reset, LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.

5. Operation

After successful assembly, connect your peripherals, monitor, and power cable to the system. Press the power button on the top I/O panel to start your computer. The pre-installed ARGB fans will illuminate, and your system should boot up.

  • No Power: Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, GPU PCIe) are securely connected. Verify the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Fans Not Spinning/No RGB: Check fan connections to the motherboard or fan controller. Ensure ARGB headers are correctly connected and configured in software if applicable.
  • No Display: Confirm the monitor cable is connected to the graphics card (not the motherboard integrated graphics, unless no dedicated GPU is present). Reseat the graphics card and RAM modules.
  • Overheating: Verify all case fans and CPU cooler fans are spinning correctly. Ensure proper thermal paste application on the CPU. Check for obstructions to airflow.
