5. Setup

5.1 Charging Dock Placement

Place the charging dock on a hard, level surface against a wall. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space in front of the dock and 0.5 meters (1.5 feet) on either side to allow the robot to easily return for charging.

5.2 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the robot. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug it into a wall outlet. Place the robot onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light will show charging status.

5.3 Installing Side Brushes

Attach the side brushes to the corresponding posts on the bottom of the robot until they click into place.

5.4 App and Voice Control Setup

Download the Tuya Smart app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Kilgone G20 to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can link it to voice assistants like Amazon Alexa for convenient control.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting/Pausing Cleaning

Press the power button on the robot or use the app/remote control to start or pause a cleaning cycle.

6.2 Cleaning Modes

The Kilgone G20 offers multiple cleaning modes:

  • Auto Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire floor area.
  • Spot Cleaning: Focuses on a specific dirty area, cleaning in a spiral pattern.

6.3 Mopping Function

To use the mopping function:

  1. Remove the water tank from the robot.
  2. Open the water tank plug and fill with clean water. Do not use cleaning solutions unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
  3. Securely close the plug and reinsert the water tank into the robot.
  4. Attach a clean, damp mop cloth to the mop board and then attach the mop board to the robot.
  5. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will now vacuum and mop simultaneously.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

7.1 Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the dustbin after each use or when the indicator light signals it is full. Open the top cover, remove the dustbin, and dispose of collected debris. Clean the filter as needed.

Tap the filter to remove loose dirt. Rinse the filter under running water if necessary, ensuring it is completely dry before reinstallation. Replace filters every 1-3 months depending on usage.
