3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the hood from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit. Keep all packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product. Dispose of packaging responsibly.

3.3 Installation Requirements
- The hood is designed for wall-mounted or under-cabinet installation.
- Requires ducted ventilation. Ensure proper ducting is available or can be installed.
- Minimum distance between the cooking surface and the lower part of the hood must be maintained as per local regulations (typically 65-75 cm for electric hobs and 75-85 cm for gas hobs).
- A dedicated electrical outlet with appropriate voltage and grounding is required.
3.4 Installation Steps (General)
- Mark Mounting Points: Based on the hood dimensions and desired height, mark the drilling points on the wall for the mounting brackets.
- Drill Holes and Install Brackets: Drill holes and insert wall plugs. Secure the mounting brackets firmly to the wall using the provided screws.
- Mount the Hood: Carefully lift the hood and attach it to the installed mounting brackets. Ensure it is level and securely fastened.

4. Operating Instructions
The ROBAM 85H1 features an intuitive control panel and gesture control for ease of use.

4.1 Power On/Off
- Touch Control: Press the Power button (symbol: circle with vertical line) on the control panel to turn the hood on or off.
- Gesture Control: Wave your hand from left to right in front of the gesture sensor to turn the hood on. Wave again to turn it off.
4.2 Suction Speed Control
- Touch Control: Press the Fan Speed buttons (symbols: fan blades) to cycle through different suction speeds (e.g., Low, Medium, High).
- Gesture Control: Wave your hand from right to left in front of the gesture sensor to increase the fan speed. Wave again to decrease the speed.
4.3 Lighting Control
- Press the Light button (symbol: light bulb) on the control panel to turn the integrated lights on or off.
4.4 Quick-Fry Function
- The hood features a one-button quick-fry function. Press the dedicated Quick-Fry button (if available, or a specific fan speed setting) to automatically boost the suction power to its maximum for intense cooking situations. The hood will typically revert to its previous setting after a set period or when manually adjusted.
5. Maintenance
