3. Initial Setup

Before wearing your watch, please follow these steps to set the time and date:

  1. Setting the Time:
    • Pull the crown out to Position 2 (farthest out).
    • Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands until the correct time is displayed. Ensure the 24-hour sub-dial also reflects the correct AM/PM.
    • Push the crown back in to Position 0 (normal position) to start the watch.
  2. Setting the Date:
    • Pull the crown out to Position 1 (first click).
    • Rotate the crown to adjust the date in the date window. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
    • Push the crown back in to Position 0.

4. Operating the Chronograph

Your PINDOWS watch features a chronograph (stopwatch) function:

  1. Starting/Stopping the Chronograph:
    • Press the Upper Pusher (A) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
    • Press the Upper Pusher (A) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be displayed on the sub-dials.
  2. Resetting the Chronograph:
    • After stopping the chronograph, press the Lower Pusher (B) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
  3. Split Time Function: (If applicable, not explicitly mentioned but common for chronographs)
    • While the chronograph is running, press the Lower Pusher (B) to measure a split time. The chronograph hands will freeze, allowing you to read the time.
    • Press the Lower Pusher (B) again to release the split time, and the chronograph hands will catch up to the ongoing elapsed time.

Sub-dial Functions:

  • 1/10-Second Sub-dial: Measures fractions of a second during chronograph operation.
  • Chronograph Seconds Sub-dial: Measures elapsed seconds.
  • Chronograph Minutes Sub-dial: Measures elapsed minutes.
  • 24-Hour Sub-dial: Displays the current time in a 24-hour format, synchronized with the main hour hand.

5. Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PINDOWS watch, please follow these guidelines:

  • Water Resistance (30 Meters): Your watch is designed to be splash-resistant, suitable for daily use like hand washing or light rain. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering. Avoid operating the crown or pushers when the watch is wet.
  • Luminous Dial: The hands and markers feature luminous material. To activate the luminescence, expose the watch to a bright light source (such as sunlight or indoor lighting) for at least 30 minutes to allow it to fully absorb light.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect the movement and battery life.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, which can interfere with the quartz movement's accuracy.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch is powered by a Japanese Quartz movement with a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand skips, it's time for a battery replacement. We recommend having this done by a qualified watch technician.
