3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Keyboard

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Keyboard Functions

The Z-82 keyboard features a 75% layout with 81 keys, including essential arrow and function keys. It supports 100% anti-ghosting for accurate input during fast typing or gaming.

4.2 Multi-function Control Knob

The knob located on the top right of the keyboard allows for quick adjustments. It operates in two modes: Gaming Mode and Office Mode.

  • Switching Modes: Long press the knob for approximately 3 seconds to switch between Gaming Mode and Office Mode.
  • Gaming Mode:
    • Rotate the knob to adjust the brightness of the RGB lighting.
    • Click the knob to cycle through different lighting effects.
  • Office Mode:
    • Rotate the knob to adjust the system volume.
    • Click the knob to play or pause media.

4.4 Hot-Swappable Switches

The Z-82 keyboard features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily replace 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches without soldering. This enables customization of your typing feel.

  • Use the included keycap puller to remove the desired keycap.
  • Use the included switch puller to carefully remove the switch from the PCB.
  • Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  • Replace the keycap.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
